Funny how the first two picks lined up with our FFMD2 mock. So is the next pick going to be Ta'amu.

I was just saying that if Pittsburgh took Ta'amu I would go crazy

I can't believe it, but have to admit I like the pick. It looks like we will be running a 2 TE set.

Look for Josh Chapman in the 4th or us to trade back into the 3rd for Ta'amu.

I was a bit surprised but it is a good pick.

Looks like we got our speedster. I really wanted a DT. Maybe this means we have our eye on my guy Damon Harrison from William Penn.

Good luck this year. No pun intended... I was really hoping the Chiefs would get both Allen and Hilton. Just don't steal anymore players!

I'm thrilled with how it's going so far. I know we've got holes to fill on defense, but I've been having nightmares about us not surrounding Luck with enough weapons and protection during his rookie year. A bad supporting cast isn't a good recipe for a rookie QB, which is why many of them fail. They come in with targets on their backs, and Luck's is bigger than most. We surround him now, or pay a price that could affect him the rest of his career.

That's why I was really hoping we'd attack offense with a vengeance; if we have a bad/shaky defense for one more year, it's not too big of a deal. Letting Luck get teed off on because we have no offensive supporting cast could set the franchise back years.

So, needless to say, I think we made the right call. With 6 more picks to go, I wouldn't be surprised to see us go to the well for one or two more offensive guys depending on who falls, then using the rest to start shoring the D up. Our defense will look better with better coaching and an offense that can actually score and keep them off the field, too.
