Also not to discredit Polamalu but am I the only one who thinks Polamalu getting placed before Dawkins is undue? Polamalu has had some truly elite seasons but his injuries and other stuff mean that they are limited. Maybe it's just homerism but I think Dawkins gets sold short when people place him behind Polamalu.

Defensive backs, especially safety, are so hard to predict. That said Polamalu as well as Ed Reed and Charles Woodson are all players that should get HOF consideration but are still playing in the NFL. Dawkins name will make the HOF ballot a year or more before they can even be considered so his consideration will either pave the way for the saftey in the HOF or become a road block for many of them.

Just joining in the calamity for the 1-day contract. I won't be surprised for a second for either party to do it. This man should have never worn any NFL uniform other than "that beautiful green" as Donovan called it years back. #20 in our programs, #1 in our hearts...

Sad that B-Dawk never won a ring with us, but he is my favorite Eagles player and I wish him the best of luck in life after football. In my eyes, he was one of those special players (Ray Lewis as well) that you run across every so many years.

Hard to pick a favorite Dawk moment, here's 808's in GIF form, definitely one of the more memorable moments
I guess mine is off the field when i met him, such a humble polite man, took the time to actually talk to people not just wave them along
