Free agent wide receiver Lee Evans will sign a one-year contract with the Jacksonville Jaguars on Monday, ESPN's Adam Schefter reports.
Evans, 31, caught four passes for 74 yards in nine games last season with the Baltimore Ravens, who acquired him from the Buffalo Bills in August. Evans also dropped what would likely would have been a game-winning touchdown in the 2011 AFC Championship Game and was released on March 12.
During his 118-game career, Evans has 381 receptions for 6,008 yards and 43 touchdowns. The 5-foot-10, 202-pound Evans gives the Jaguars a deep threat at the receiver position, possibly working on the outside while Mike Thomas moves to the slot in three-wide personnel groupings. _________________

It will give us a little depth tho, if Laurent or Whoever we pick up in the draft gets injured.
If he can return to his old self, it would be a steal.
still waiting on details _________________

It's a low-risk signing, so I'm fine with it regardless if he actually does anything for us or not. _________________

Pretty much.
He's a solid veteran presence and he'll be a reliable target for Blaine. You need guys like Lee and until today, this team lacked it. _________________

dont have high expecations. If this signing ends up just taking playing time away from younger receivers like dillard then I am not a huge fan.
If he comes in a helps us move the chains and brings a professionalism to the WR core then i do like it
Kind of a cop out answer but not really sure how else to put this signing |

| I like it, very low risk signing and I don't expect anything out of him. |

| His career has really gone downhill since 2008. In 2009 and 2010 he only missed 3 games and his production was pretty pedestrian. Then of course last year he basically did nothing. It would be awesome if he managed a bounce back year, but I doubt it. |

If the young guys can't earn playing time, they don't belong anyways. _________________

| Not a bad idea to have a vet like that around. I'm not expecting a whole lot on the field, but hopefully he'll have something to offer to whoever we end up grabbing at the draft, off the field. |
