This is a non-issue to me. Everyone here acknowledges the extreme workload MJD took on last year, that's no secret. He got banged up. Realistically, he's probably expecting another heavy workload this year. The season is still a very long ways off, and if the guy wants to work on his own training plan for a bit longer, i have absolutely zero issue with that. There's no way a guy that determined and competitive by nature, shows up for the season in anything but the best possible shape.
If it is purely a money thing? So be it...he's the only reliable offensive weapon this team has, led the league in rushing, works as tirelessly as anyone, and is the face of the franchise. Give the little man some money. |

Im.okay with.giving him money, but how.much money & for how many years is the question?
