I don't get the trend of so called sports journalists to bash players, like they are going to get some kind of award for being the first to predict that this player or that player will be a bust. It's almost like these guys are rooting for specific players to fail so that their predictions come true. I guess with the popularity of the internet, cable tv, etc & the need for more content, anything that even remotely resembles a sports story gets published these days. More evidence that more of a thing isn't necessarily better.
Anyway...Lombardi's piece was garbage. How do you even quantify what emotions a player is feeling when he's on the field? I agree with Blaine that it was comical and I can only hope that Blaine turns things around and then shoves a football right up Lombardi's you-know-what.

thats funny.. he is a joke though, Michael lombardi never has anything important to say.
Kind of disrespectful from gabbert, but i am sure he is sick and tired of the BS. I can respect how he has not used his broken foot as an excuse |

I could have sworn Prisco was calling Gabbert a bust at one point. Or maybe I'm just mixing him with the other dozen or so that were writing him off after a few games. |
