By the time we play our first preseason game and the last regular game of 2013 it will be a eight month lay over. I don't know about anyone else, but I am starting to get edgey. I think things will be be very quiet for the next 8 weeks. Does anyone else feel the same way.

This can probably go in the off topic chat

but no not really since I watch hockey and baseball as well so I have sports to follow year round. World cup is also starting soon so I have something else for this summer. Occasionally I watch lacrosse but I doubt anyone else on this site follows it,

Probably lose to Spain.

Balotelli's flick to Marchisio yesterday for the gol though got me feeling some type of way.

I haven't watched the friendlies but apparently Verratti has been dominating next to De Rossi and Pirlo so thats beautiful news.

We have more talent this year then I can remember in a long time.

Verratti is a great player and hopefully will show it this summer. Shame Montalivo got injured but we are stacked in midfield!

Where are you/family from?

I like Montolivo but prefer Marchiso and Varretti so it's not to bad.

My fathers side of the family come from Naples. My mothers side are actually English.

Yeah, now I have to be all productive and ish.
I'm trying to find a summer sport to really get into. Learning more about Soccer and UFC. I know all the basics, just don't know many names.

The World Cup is perfect for the average fan to start getting interested in soccer. I love the UFC too!!

Not for nothing, but I am a big basketball fan. I really just started watching ice hockey last year. I must say that playoff hockey is one of the more exhilarating sports to watch. I have always liked the UFC and obviously football because of the contact and speed. I have always loved watching the world cup. In soccer itself, I never really had a reason to root for anyone, and because of that, I never got into the different leagues of soccer. Although, I must say European soccer is exciting to watch due to the large crowds and reactions from them.

I love basketball, I love to play it and I grew up in the streets of brooklyn playing it. But it doesn't match the level of intensity as sports like football, hockey, and ufc.

Baseball is just plain boring. I find every sport interesting but when I change the channel and watch a quarter of football then flip on the baseball game and its one inning over, I say to myself... what kind of sport is this.

Each sport is unique in its own way.
