Hope you're wrong about that first. You don't use firsts on running backs and you especially don't trade firsts for aging backs.
All that being said- i love MJD, but not at the price of a first. _________________

Don't misunderstand, MJD is one of my favorite backs in the league. Love the guy!
Now, that said, it would be beyond crazy to make that trade. keep in mind:
all but Richardson will still be on the board at 25.
MJD is already entering his 7th year, with already 10,00 yds + including returns, he's got lots of miles. He'd be demanding a huge contract. He's a great weapon, but one of many PM will use.
If we do that, much as I like MJD I'd be truly bummed. He can't play DT, OG, CB. etc. and those are the kind of holes we can patch up at 25.
Please let it be a rumor. |

If it involves getting Knowshon Moreno the hell off this team, I'm all for it. But frankly, Jones-Drew has a lot of mileage on those legs for Moreno (a former 1st), AND a 1st.
How about our 1st, Knowshon, and a 4th for Jones-Drew and Jacksonville's 2nd, a #38. |

Is every back that isn't a rookie "an aging back?"
Sure seems like that's the way most people around this site think.
I would totes be down to trade Knoshow and a 1st for MJD.
You guys are willing to spend a 2nd on Doug Martin!?! and Knowshon aint worth sh!t around the league! _________________

Denver isn't the team we were a year ago. Our goals have changed drastically since the signing of Manning. We are a win now team. Mojo Drew is 27, so if you follow the rule that he will be of little use once he turns 30.
You know who else has 3 good years left, Manning. You get MoJo, odds are you get a ring in one of those 3 next years.
I'd take it. _________________

Good point. Not much for the future, but pretty hard to argue the immediate value. MJD's got to be one of the top 5 offensive weapons in the league and he'd be devasting paired with Manning.
Interesting point of view. Not much of a stretch to imagine EFX sharing it. |

| I find this "rumor" hard to believe but I would honestly take it... We obviously need impact players in the draft on defense but MJD is the type a guy that could make our offense the best in the league (with the pieces we already have in place) |

I know I'm in the minority, but I think Moreno could have a good year. Not a great year, not justifying his draft selection, but a good year.
Last year before the injury he was turning into a good third down back. With us passing more, I think Moreno could be a threat out of the backfield on third down. And if one of those defenders is keying on Moreno, it only opens up the field for Manning to pick the rest of them apart. Look for Moreno to have lots of receptions this year. _________________
