I really don't get why people keep calling it a drop. It was a great play by Sterling Moore.

I said that from the time I saw it. Evans should have moved the ball so it couldn't have been knocked out, but I really can't fault him for that. It was a fantastic play made by Moore.

I said that from the time I saw it. Evans should have moved the ball so it couldn't have been knocked out, but I really can't fault him for that. It was a fantastic play made by Moore. |
I hate the Ravens, So i called it a Drop. Evans has been playing football long.enough to no to secure the ball when it is in your hands. NFL recievers should make that play.

It was a ball he could have come down with, and almost did. But not a drop.

I really like this move. It seems like every year there are some dirt cheap vet WRs that make an impact somewhere. There's no reason for us not to take a shot here and there on a vet.
Holt's 1 season here he was more productive than almost anyone since 2005. Why not bring in a vet to make the others prove they're as good or better than someone whose already had some success in the league.
I would have prefered Jerrico Cotchery, but hopefully Lee plays well for us and helps Gabbert become an average to decent starter this year.

I kind of like the idea of what Gene is doing. (Not saying I know exactly what Gene is doing, but I am guessing.)
Gene is surrounding Gabbert with all types of WRs from short, to speed, to possession, and now I am speculating that the Jagaurs will draft a big WR (with talent of course I would like to see Jeffrey or Hill) to see which WR Gabbert will gel with and build from there.
Veteran Presence from Evans ala Flacco to Mason.
Player just had a breakout year (L.Rob) and gel ala Ryan to White
Slot guy gains instant recognition (M. Thomas) ala Eli M. to Smith.
These are just ideas of a hopeful season.

Well I was in high school and I'll relive them for ever and ever. We could win the next 10 Super Bowls and it wouldn't take any of the shine away from the early years - they were truly special. Also, Fred was in a record-breaking kind of mood in the Pats game (our first home playoff game).
