Lets keep all rumors as the draft gets closer here. Below is 1 I found today
| Quote: | According to SI.com's Tony Pauline, Bengals coach Marvin Lewis is "hoping" Alabama DE/OLB Courtney Upshaw falls to Cincinnati's No. 21 pick.
Per Pauline, the "other player" Cincinnati will target at 21 is Wisconsin OG Peter Konz. Pauline doesn't say anything about the Bengals' pick at 17, which may be reserved for the best cornerback on the board. Upshaw would give the Bengals an edge-rushing upgrade on Michael Johnson, and Mike Zimmer isn't opposed to 3-4 looks that could stand up Upshaw at outside 'backer. |

| Smokescreen. Upshaw isn't a good fit for our 4-3 and Konz isn't a need compared to a RG. Zeitler would be a bette fit than Konz. |

Yes! I love smoke and mirrors time.
I heard we're also interested in Tannehill.
Let's see how long it takes for that to circle around the internet. _________________

We are clearly targeting Burfict at 17 and Cliff Harris at 21 _________________

Both ideal fits. But I would trade everything for Kalil. Move whit to RG _________________

I definitely think we're coming out of the first round with 2 SEC players regardless of position. I see these combos...
Dre Kirkpatrick
Mark Barron
Courtney Upshaw
Michael Brockers
Cordy Glenn
Stephon Gilmore
Alshon Jeffery
Janoris Jenkins (Florida talent)
It's a guarantee at this point we draft one of these guys.. |

He'd have upside, but also definitely be a rotational player at first. He'd likely get snaps at both DT spots.
Kiper's latest mock has us taking Decastro, Gilmore, and LSU safety Brandon Taylor with our first 3 picks. He didn't have Alshon Jeffrey in the first two rounds. _________________

That's reasonable.
As time as has gone on, i have had more and more trouble believing that Decastro is going to go before pick 15. I think he's going to suffer from positional devaluation. I know the fans want him. Will the FO's have that same feeling though?
That also means i have a hard time believing the Bengals will take Glenn as a guard. It's a need, but it's going to be hard to take him in the first. _________________

I've had the same feeling about Glennl If guys like Barron, Gilmore, Kuechly, Floyd, etc... are on the board, I don't think he'll go above them. Maybe at 21. They obviously love Decastro though, with as much time as they have spent with him. It feels like group think gets a little prevelant here and guys get elevated or devalued when they really shouldn't be.
My new WR cheeseball for the Bengals in rd 2 AJ Jenkins went #37 in the Kiper mock. Probably most surprising was UC DT Derrick Wolfe going 27. Then Shea McClelin at 31, both to the Pats. Both would be great fits though.
It's going to be a long 20 days until the draft. _________________

Michael Floyd is coming for a visit this week. I highly doubt he makes it to 17 though _________________

Konz is superior to Zeitler. No reason that Konz can't play RG in the NFL, plus it would give us a quality backup to Cook if he gets hurt. Not saying the rumor is true but Konz is my second favorite interior linemen after DeCastro... _________________

| As a right guard, I'd take Zeitler over Konz every day of the week. Most years Zeitler would be the best RG prospect. Konz is a decent but not outstanding center prospect, not in the league of Pouncy or Mack. |

This should make a lot of people happy on this board
| Quote: | | Cincinnati is among a group of teams that have expressed interest in University of Iowa wide receiver Marvin McNutt. The 6-foot-3, 216-pound receiver is projected as a late third to mid-fourth round selection. His draft stock has been on the rise since posting a 4.48 in the 40-yard dash at the Combine in February. Scouts expected him to run in the 4.6 range, which forced teams to reevaluate the prospect. |
