id prefer to trade this pick. there should be some first round talent falling, trade out and pick up an additional third round pick. id be happy.

at 35, i like Rueben Randle and Josh Robinson a lot.
There's no way Josh Robinson could be there, is there?

I am high on both of these players. But right now i would lean more towards Alshon. I think he will be a immediate impact player for whoever selects him.

I would love if Kendall Wright fell to us at 35. Percy and Kendall would be one hell of a playmaking combo.

And dont be surprised when we select two WRs this year. Im gonna say 2nd round and one of our comp picks.

Hill has more potential than any other WR in the draft, and the success Demaryius Thomas has had early in his career is promising. However he could bust big as well.

I don't see Jeffery falling out of the 1st. He is a stud.

No way Jeffery gets out of the first after his pro day. He's got scary talent. From what I've gathered from GT fans his hands are ANYTHING but consistent. That scares me too much, ala Williamson.

Or he could be a DHB, but even DHB hasn't exactly 'took over' the league by any means.

If you're so sure. Up for a sig bet? Smile

Jeffery will have more yards and more touchdowns than Blackmon 2 years from now in the NFL? No excuses (circumstances, injuries, playing time, etc.)

(btw: I agree, Jeffery will probably not last to the 2nd round)

Laughing Sure, if you're still around in 2 years, why not? But I will go on record and say right now that Jeffery will have more TDs and Blackmon more yards.

I hope a trade up for a player is possible, getting Kirkpatrick, David DeCastro, Martin, Poe, Floyd, Kuechly or Barron... a few would require multiple picks, which I'm okay with personally. But some are possible 20's picks.

If we stay, I hope we get Dennard from Nebraska.. I like him a lot.

I also expect them to draft 2 wide receivers with the first in the 2nd round... they are going to do everything they can to right the selection of ponder.. whether fans like it or not

+1

I guess the reason I want offense is because I want to see what Ponder really has talent wise. If we load up the talent for Ponder we should be able to make a good read on him this year.

A true franchise QB trumps all else.

The problem with selecting Kalil and a 2nd round receiver, though, is that Ponder (and the entire offense) is going to see minimal gains.

Unless the Vikings were to take Blackmon or Floyd and either absolutely blows up, he's really not going to be in any sort of better position than he was last season outside of a year under his belt. I'd rather not see the team compound that mistake of selecting a QB by trying to force the issue again (like last year) and attempt to prop someone up. Ponder was put into a crummy situation that's going to do him no favors. That's on the organization. Now it's time to sink or swim. I'd rather draft the best players on either side of the ball.

Frankly, I see a lot more value on the defensive side of the ball in this draft anyway. Especially when you consider the ages on both offensive and defensive units.

Well, he'll have the benefits of a full offseason, which he didn't have last year.

If I were the Vikings, I'd look for the best secondary player on the board at #35, regardless of the #3 selection. Rodgers/Stafford/Cutler throwing to Jennings/Nelson/Finley/Megatron/B-Marsh just within the division. Draft Claiborne and then take Gilmore if he were to fall to #35 (which I would hate because that meant GB passed on him), that would be an outstanding first 2 picks (IMO).

Safety seems to be the bigger issue than CB at this point. Ive been warming up to Harrison Smith a bit, I wouldnt mind him in round 2, followed by CB depth in round 3 or 4.

I really like Kalil and Harrison Smith as our first two picks, i think thats very solid and adresses some big needs.. Obviously there is a need for WR's as well, but there are plenty in the draft to like..

I like AJ Jenkins at WR in the 3rd then..

Jasper Brinkley, Erin Henderson and Chad Greenway still likely start at linebacker, so i don't think thats a position we need to adress early in the draft and i hope that Letroy Guion gets the nod alongside Kevin Williams on the Defensive Line.

Never been a huge fan of Jeffery. I see too much Mike Williams and Dwayne Jarrett in him...and after making the huge mistake on evaluating Dwayne Jarrett that I did, I never want to consider another receiver like him.

His pro day was a fraud (that may be too strong of a word), but he isn't going to be playing at the 215 that he was that day. It was all in an effort to get back up in the first round, but scouts can see right through that.

If both were available in the 2nd rd, I'd snap up Hill in a second before I'd even consider Jeffery.

I would like this draft, Kalil, Smith and Jenkins to start things off. In early round 4, the Vikes would probably look at a CB; and then start to add some LB depth at the end of round 4.
