Draft Picks
1.23 (23)- Jonathan Martin, OT, Stanford
2.22 (54)- Zach Brown, OLB, North Carolina
3.23 (85)- Dwight Bentley, CB, Louisiana-Lafayette
4.22 (117)- Robert Turbin, RB, Utah State
5.23 (158)- DeVier Posey, WR, Ohio State
6.16 (183) -From NYJ- Coty Sensabaugh, CB/S, Clemson
7.12 (219) -From SEA- Bobby Rainey, RB/WR/KR, Western Kentucky
7.23 (230) -Austin Davis, QB, Southern Mississippi |
I can't say I like this draft. In fact, I'd struggle to find a worse mock. But that's only my opinion. I'm just not high on Martin, I see 2nd-3rd round OT talent with him. He consistently allows defenders to get within his frame and drive him backwards. I think he's been a prime beneficiary of Luck's quick decision making and quick release. I don't like Martin.
Zach Brown is another one of my most overrated prospects. He's fast, indeed. But he's just not physical at all. When he goes for the tackle he consistently gets bounced off the ball carrier. He consistently took bad angles on tape. He just does not look like a football player to me.
I like Bentley.
I wasn't overly impressed by what I saw of Turbin on tape, but the 4th round is good value for finding quality RBs IMO.
Not a fan of Devier Posey. Definitely felt there were plenty of better receivers left on the board. _________________

7.228 // Lance Dunbar, RB North Texas
Thoughts? |
I felt you tended to get good value at all of your selections. Blackmon will be a huge upgrade for your WR core. I really like Vinny Curry and his explosive ability off the LOS. Wolfe is a guy I've liked for awhile now and getting him in the 3rd is good value.
Can't say I'm a Minnifield fan, but it is the 4th round- that's incredible value. Not a fan of Moss in that slot. I like Zues, if he heals up. I like him at LG at the next level, he would be pretty darn good there. Could be a steal. _________________

I really like the players we got and generally feel like we got good value, I'm just dissapointed we didn't address WR until the 5th round. In reality I hope we address the position in the first 3 rounds. |

I love the Criner pick, he is my favorite WR in this draft. But the rest of the picks are average. _________________

Draft Picks
Round 1 (#20)- Devon Still, DT
Round 2 (#52)- Lavonte David, OLB
Round 3 (#82)- Philip Blake, C
Round 4 (#115)- Marvin McNutt, WR
Round 4 (#123 via HOU)- Tony Bergstrom, OL
Round 6 (#171 via STL)- Janzen Jackson, FS
Round 6 (#190)- Tim Fugger, DE
Round 7 (#223 via HOU)- Danny Trevathan, OLB
Round 7 (#227)- Jack Crawford, DE |
Love the David Lavonte is one of the biggest steals in the draft to me. Thought you guy's did a good job getting value with your late picks. Crawford ,Fugger, and Jackson are all guy's I think are sleepers deep into the draft. I'm usually not a fan of DT's in the first but being a Titans fan myself I wouldn't complain if we picked Still. Overall solid draft. _________________

You guy's did an excellent job picking by value/BPA, Taylor Thompson could be similar to Gronkowski and Jeff Fuller was downright stolen in the 6th, it's tough to decide between you guys, the Packers, and the Eagles on who had my favorite mock. _________________

Do we get UDFAs? If so, Rams call dibs on:
Derrius Brooks CB
Rokevious Watkins OG
Lance Lewis WR
Bryce Brown HB
I know the Seahawks will want Brandon Hardin. _________________
