Some have already been announced.

Moss = 84
Cartwright = 28
Cox = 20

Then..

Manningham... he had 86 at Michigan (Jennigns) and 82 with the NYG (Byham). I can see him buying 82 from Byham. I could see Byham with a number in the 40s.

I can't imagine Josh Johnson buying 11 from Alex, though. Maybe 1? He'd look good with a 9.

number 1 is a dumb number to have as a QB IMO. Alex won't get rid of 11. I think Moss will take 84 and Manningham should take 82. I want to see our WRs have 80's numbers, they are way better IMO, I'm not really down with the teens for WRs.

yeah I wasn't feeling it either all the way back when Keyshawn johnson petitioned the league for permission to wear 19 back in the day.

it became a trend after that and I hated it

Dumb number? Wow... it's just a number. If Cam Newton becomes the superstar he can be, you'll see plenty more #1s around. It's a trend. But what makes a number choice dumb, I can't see.

Thats about it. I just think wearing #1 is a dumb choice for QBs.

Again.. why dumb? Because it's unusual? It's unusual, okay, but not dumb.

I agree with that. I know some think it is "just a number", but I believe that some how, in some way, consciously or sub-consciously, players pick that number for just that reason. I think players are aware of this as well and is why we see few players with that number.
It impacts the way they are perceived by fans as well.

The team has already announced Moss will have 84 and Cox will have 20.

And I don't think Johnson should wear 8... just sayin'...
