|
|
|
| Quote: | | Ex-Patriots DE Mark Anderson has agreed to a 4-year deal with the Bills, according @sportstarsnyc. He'll tag team with Super Mario |
http://twitter.com/RapSheet/statuses/182521493324972032
Anderson also visited the Ravens, Titans and Jaguars among other teams but chose to sign with the Bills.
When Patriots DE Andre Carter went down with an injury late in the season Anderson's role increased and was a major pass-rushing force in the Patriots Superbowl run, recording 10 sacks in the 2011 season.
Anderson offers little against the run but will team-up with Mario Williams to create a lot of pass-rush for the Bills in 2012.

Not terribly excited about him. I seem to remember him getting 3 or 4 sacks in one game (coverage sacks). But hey, I really hope he proves me wrong. _________________

Pass-rush wise, you will like him... he does a good job going after the QB with a lot speed.
You won't like his play against the run although he does show effort. _________________

I like this signing. Anderson will likely platoon with Kelsay, so his run defense isn't a huge deal IMO.
4 year deal isn't optimal, but do what you gotta do to bring him on if you ask me. This team will rush the passer that's for sure.

Woah now your D Line will be sick! Now y'all have to build up your O Line. Gotta win in the trenches. _________________

solid pickup I think that should be the answer to the bills defense all they need now if a solid CB and they should be ok on defense through the draft. Now I see the bills getting an OT or WR with the 10th pick _________________

28m looks like a lot, but only 8 of it is guaranteed. i'm thinking most of the contract is incentives/escalators that probably won't be met. _________________

It's a lot of money but if he gets 10 sacks a year no one will be complaining.
Cut Spencer Johnson, and Dwan. Restructure Kelsay and we are golden. _________________ Raves wrote:

You mean the O-Line that gave up the least amount of sacks and QB hits this year? Who also blocked for our RBs at a rate of 5+ per carry? Yeah, needs alot of work. _________________

Bills need a #2 wr and a top CB which can be answered in the 1st and 2nd rd then OT depth and LB depth. _________________

Already restructured Kelsay. Don't know the numbers, but I remember seeing it was done. _________________

The only contract the bills restructured was Mcgee. They do need to cut spencer and dwan since they dont plan on using the 3-4 attack and it is just wasting money keeping them on the bench or backups to marcel and williams. _________________

Id perfer to keep Sp. Johnson just to have some experience at the tackle position. He did orginially come to use from a 4-3 system and played really well last year. I am fine with dumping Edwards though. _________________
