Dreesen would be a good additon for the Bengals. If we don't get him, former Bengal Jacob Tamme is available.

Former Bengal? Eh? Confused

Dreessen left Cincy en route to Tennessee without a contract, BTW.

I guess i was just more wondering why we are focusing on a TE, when we have glaring needs. With as little as we use TE's (in the passing game atleast) I just didnt see the major need. But I am not totally against it. Just wondering why he is in and not a single WR

Because clearly Ryan Whalen and Armon Binns are poised for 80 catch, 1200 yard years with double digit touchdowns Wink

While the sarcasm is accurately placed, the reason is fairly obvious. There wasn't a chance that the club was going to pay the big money that the big names demanded (Meachem/Manningham/etc) and rest of the FA crop is pretty weak. So why not bring in a TE when you have no intention of going after the other guys?

Besides, i still think they bring in a vet WR to at least compete for the job. But there's no rush there because that market is going no where. In fact, the guy they bring in might be someone who is still on a roster... Shhh

Brown has failed miserably with Wrs in free agency (Coles, Bryant, even TO wasn't worth the headaches he caused in between productive plays).

I see nothing wrong with getting a vet blocking TE. They can block, and won't see passes anyway. How long have we wanted to see jermaine get more as the starter?
