Are the Arizona Cardinals the new Oakland Raiders?

I just learned that the Cards traded for Palmer! How stupid is that?

http://m.usatoday.com/article/news/2042507

Quote:
Arizona is sending the second of its two sixth-round selections this year (176 overall) to Oakland in exchange for its seventh-round pick (219 overall). In addition, Arizona has agreed to terms with Palmer on a new contract.

Kent Somers of the Arizona Republic is reporting it's a two-year deal worth $16 million with $10 million guaranteed.
this is kind of reminiscent of our Mark Brunnel trade...

I knew his trade would be a horrible one for Oakland. Laughing And I'm sure it will end up being a disappointment in Az for Palmer, who's always been overrated.

Funny fact. The only Raiders QB to have a winning record since Rich Gannon was qb for them a decade ago is JASON CAMPBELL! Laughing

How bout them apples?

How so? We gave up a third rounder; they gave up a sixth and got Palmer and a seventh.

While I won't dispute that Palmer's overrated, he's certainly a sight better than what they have in the desert.

11-7 across two seasons. And the Raiders couldn't wait to cut him.

sorry I meant similar to Brunnell money wise for a qb who's washed up.

Didn't we give Brunell a new contract? Or was that rescheduling money to make cap space?

In any event, Palmer is probably less washed up and has a stronger arm.

yes, we gave Brunell a new contract. Anyways, I consider Palmer washed up. He's never been the same since he hurt his elbow, he makes horrible decisions, throws horrible ints and unlike Jay Cutler, he's not mobile in the pocket.

Like I said, the only raiders qb to have a winning record since Gannon was Jason Campbell. They would have been smarter to hold into their draft picks they had than to trade for Palmer and Flynn. The smarter move would have been to just drafted a qb in 2011, 2012 or this year.

London Fletcher - LB - Redskins The Redskins will not ask ILB London Fletcher to restructure his contract. Fletcher is owed $5.5 million in real money for 2013 and will count $6.2 million against the cap. It's a lot to pay for a 38-year-old that graded out 51st among 53 qualifying inside linebackers last season according to Pro Football Focus, but Fletcher's value stretches deeper. He's the quintessential team leader and defensive coordinator on the field for the Redskins.

For turtle. Look at his grade.

he was hurt. What you need to look at is how he played after the bye week. He was the leader of that defense and he, Hasslett and Jackson were the reasons our defense got turned around.

When he's healthy our defense is a lot better, which was evident when he got more healthy as our 7 game win streak went on.

@ProFootballTalk: Alfonzo Dennard gets 30 days in jail, won't miss time with Pats http://t.co/AOY60RLs8C

Exhibit A as to why you shouldn't take chances on college trouble makers

Let's A) worry about this when they do sign him, and B) wonder why he's been on the market for so long.
