Thanks @ Duke for asking this question on every other team forum, but what about Cincinnati's draft? What are the Bengals top needs...and onn that note, I'm curious about draft strategy.
Lets consider a "reach" 15 spots ahead of big board position for my mock, how likely is your FO to reach for a player and if so, at which of the positions of need you've listed?
Thanks |

The Bengals are pretty unlikely to reach for anyone. They've done a pretty good job plugging holes in FA to where they don't have to take any certain one position in rd 1. The closest thing they do need is WR, one of those has to be one of the top 3 picks, because odds are, that pick will start. If I had to make a 7, i'd say:
WR
CB
OG
DE
SS
RB

We don't have a front office. We have Mike Brown. _________________ " I imagine that in Paul McCartneys' house, he must have a shelf with the 12+ great 'Beatles' studio albums neatly stacked. Added Manny Lawson as starting SLB, moved Vincent Rey to the PS, and moved Micah Johnson from PS to Cut list. _________________

Added Jacob Bell, whom I put as a back up as I think Boling would beat him out for the starting job in camp.
Placed Crocker in the Cut column, and moved Sands from backup SS to backup FS
The Bengals really are in a position to go BPA at his point. The only thing I think they really have to do is take a WR with one of their first three picks. _________________

I don't like the Bell signing. Yes it means we don't have to take Glenn in the 1st but I don't think he is an upgrade.
Barron and Floyd would be great round 1 but I want Zeitler round 2 still _________________

I don't think Zeitler falls to 53, and I agree Glenn would be an upgrade and I would take him in rd 1. _________________

I agree Zeitler doesn't fall. I would prefer Glenn or DeCastro in the 1st with Barron or Floyd. That would really help our team _________________

Added Roland and Newman, moved Sands back to backup SS, moved Ghee to backup FS, made Adam Jones the 5th CB
It's weird seeing pretty much the entire roster set depth wise, except for maybe WR. It'll be interesting after the drafts if all the cuts are cuts we would expect, or if there will be some surprises in there. Some of these 1 yr deals are definitely getting cut though.
I think we take Floyd at 17 or one of Wright, Hill, Jeffrey at 21, but other than that, this draft will truly be BPA _________________

Forgot Rivers was traded, he's gone, promoted DeQuin Evans from the PS to backing up Howard.
Perhaps a guy I really like in rd 2-3, Demario Davis, is a possibility again. Dude's a specimen, and he'd have a year to learn behind Howard and tear **** up on special teams. 4.6 40, 32 reps of 225, 39" verticle, one of the faster shuttle and 3 cone times in the draft. Small school guy, but he wouldn't need to start right away. _________________

Bobbie Williams putting in work. Maybe we don't need another OG after all?

I still want to draft someone. He wasn't his normal self and he and Wharton aren't getting any younger _________________

| I don't want Bobbie back at all. He's been in decline for several years. Even if we only draft 1 lineman, to start at RG, we'll probably have a full roster. Whitworth-Wharton-Cook-Rookie-Smith plus Collins, Bell, Boling, and Roland as backups. Maybe Hudson beats out Boling, Bell, or Roland. O'Donnell to the practice squad again. |

Love what Bobby did in his time here, but he is done. We need some new blood.
Added Lee as the backup TE, moved Cochart to 3rd string. _________________

Not that it matters, but McGlynn went to Indy, not the Dolphins. _________________
