Good move for them, they needed to get either him or Nicks. Didn't completely want him for the Vikings.

why not?

brees is tagged and no one can talk to them
nicks seems like he wants out just so he can get max money
... why not try for the player that you might have a shot with and go back to brees later

Big win for New Orleans. Colston and Brees have instant chemistry, and with Meachem on his way out, need to keep the best WR around.

Good signing for the Saints. I think they had a better chance of keeping Colston than Nicks anyway so its good to get one rather than lose both.
