Vegas has the over/under for Laker wins set at 59.5 for 2012. They are 3rd in that respect, behind OKC (61.5) and MIA (62.5). I think a 60-65 win season is attainable, as we need not forget about the lack of chemistry we have right now. _________________

Mitch should trade Dwight Howard for Brook Lopez! Shaq made great points! GENIUS!!!! How can't we all see that a center who gets less rebounds than Rajon Rondo and 1.8 blocks less than Pau Gasol is the true embodiment of a "TRUE CENTER"???
He'll bring something none of us have ever seen in LA man. Too bad we can't trade Dwight for a while now....DAMNIT. BK would totally bite on that deal too.

Time Warner Cable is the only provider with the channel. _________________

Ok so 1 pre season game down and these are all the guys who got some playing time:
F - Pau Gasol
F - Metta World Peace
C - Robert Sacre
G - Steve Nash
G - Kobe Bryant
--
F - Antawn Jamison
F - Reeves Nelson
F - Chris Douglas-Roberts
F - Earl Clark
F - Jordan Hill
F - Devin Ebanks
C - Greg Somogyi
G - Steve Blake
G - Chris Duhon
G - Jodie Meeks
G - Andrew Goudelock
G - Duane Morris
G - Darius Johnson-Odom
N/A - Ronnie Aguilar (no idea why his position was not listed)
DNP - Dwight Howard (obviously)
Ok, so who do you guys want to see make the team? If I am not mistaken we can have 12 on the game day roster and 15 total? Correct me if I am wrong.
Starting 5: (locks)
C - Dwight Howard
F - Pau Gasol
F - Metta World Peace
G - Steve Nash
G - Kobe Bryant
Bench 7:
F - Antawn Jamison
F - Jordan Hill
F - Devin Ebanks
C - Robert Sacre
G - Steve Blake
G - Jodie Meeks
G - Andrew Goudelock
3 I would like to hang on to:
F - Chris Douglas-Roberts - I have always liked him as a player since Memphis, but his pro game obviously did not tranlate well, hopefully he can be something
F - Darius Johnson-Odom - I liked him in college, I just do not think he is ready for the NBA
G - Chris Duhon - I do not like him but it can't hurt to have a vet presense just incase of an injury _________________ Bring swag back to Dallas 2012.

I can agree with this easily. CDR, DJO and Duhon will most likely just miss the cut. Sacre should have a place on this team IF Howard is not ready to go for game 1 (although he should be). I believe Hill would start in place of Howard if he has to miss time.
Btw, Nash had a sweet pass between a defender's legs for a dime last night. It was so nice to see, although I'm still getting used to seeing him a Laker uniform. _________________

Can't see Duhon getting cut, simply because of his salary wouldn't come off the books. His contract is partially guaranteed for next year, so I could see the Lakers look to flip him at the deadline. And I doubt Sacre gets cut since he's insurance in case Dwight Howard has any setbacks.
Here's my roster "locks"
PG: Steve Nash / Steve Blake / Chris Duhon
SG: Kobe Bryant / Jodie Meeks
SF: Metta World Peace / Devin Ebanks
PF: Pau Gasol / Antawn Jamison
C: Dwight Howard / Jordan Hill / Robert Sacre
That means we've got three roster spots to decide between:
SG Darius Johnson-Odom
SG Andrew Goudelock
SG Chris Douglas-Roberts
PF Earl Clark
I think from a pure numbers' perspective, Earl Clark will make the team but he could get moved at the deadline. I think Goudelock's spot is in jeopardy with the signing of Meeks. And I think the Lakers want to stash DJO on the bench for a year or two. _________________

I did not factor that in, you're right. Some of the radio hosts in LA were mentioning how we might be looking to deal a player or two at or near the deadline this upcoming season. Good mention about that.

I really like this 12 man line-up.

Clark is an interesting piece to consider. He has length and athletic ability, but is no where near consistent and needs to add some bulk IMO. And you're right about Meeks pushing G-lock, for sure. _________________

I saw a clip of those comments, and straight laughed at Shaq for being such a blatant hater. Then another host of that show they were on was like "didn't you mean Robin Lopez instead?" Shaq looked all foolish and said "yeah one of them Lopez brothers." Just proved he was hating, as he meant to say both R Lopez and Bynum are better than Howard. Complete foolishness.
Btw, when Howard was interviewed at the game last night, he suggested that his new nickname could be "Iron Man." When asked why, he replied "I don't want people to think I'm following after anyone now." _________________
