what do we do?
I personally think his production could be replaced by a playmaking TE, accompanied by Lee Smith.
franchise tag is around 6 mil _________________

You either resign him to a couple million if that or let him walk and go for a guy like Carlson and pay a bit more. _________________

Totally agree. I think you offer him a short term deal for a slight raise, let him earn his worth long term. If not there are other guys who we can bring in that will be ok replacing him like a Carlson. _________________

The Bills just tweeted that they've re-signed him. I'm to wait to see the terms before I make a final decision, but I would've liked to see a more athletic guy brought in. Who knows maybe they still will. I think more athletic, speed TE's are becoming a huge part of the game. _________________

I hope they dont settle with him as the clear cut #1 TE. I know money would be better served elsewhere but I would like to see them put in some effort towards another TE. Chandler would make a great #2 TE but hes just too slow and doesnt do much after the catch unlike a lot of the premier TE's in the game today which are becoming such an intrical part. _________________ FFMD 2012 Buffalo Bills! |

I really like this move. I think he is a perfect TE for what we try to do on offense. Athletic TE may be a part of the game but we don't try to stretch the field all that much. He is a great blocker and clearly a redzone threat. Good move. _________________

I'm not the least bit disappointed with this signing either. We live & die off of the running game and Chandler helps. He's not flashy, but he fills a real need on our team and catches a few bonus TD's. I'm hoping we do still draft a TE with a little breakaway speed for 2 TE sets, though. _________________

Next on the resign list should be Kirk Morrison and Demetrius Bell. _________________

I get the feeling Bell won't be back. Staff seems to like Hairston (for whatever reason) and Bell could be over payed out on the market because of his experience and position. _________________

Great re-signings with Johnson and Chandler. The biggest piece missing from the offense is essentially just one more receiver. Everything else is defense. _________________
