| Panthers fan here, our big free agent signing is your back up safety. What did we get? |

| You got a pretty good special teams player that can contribute on defense. I wouldn't want to see him as a starter but he's alright coming in on nickel and dime situations. Of course I'm not too familiar with who the Panthers have at S either (well I know Martin and Godfrey start but I don't know how good they are) so maybe he would be an upgrade back there. |

Thanks for the update. Godfrey can ball, Martin struggled and they'd like to upgrade. |

First post pretty much hit the nail on the head. As previously stated he's probably not a starter, but definitely a good player. About as good as you can hope for when it comes to a 3rd safety though. Sure tackler who does a good job of wrapping up, and he's good enough in coverage to step up and even play a little corner in dime or slot situations.
For us, he's replaceable but still is somebody I'm actually really sad to see go. |
