| Hey guy I'm not new to the forum just new to posting on here. I just want to get everyone's opinion on Bruce Irvin. When it comes to getting to the passer he is easily one of the top guys in this draft. I would love to see the Falcons grab him in the second round. If you look and his measurables he's almost identical to Von Miller and we all know what he did this past season. Just looking for people's thoughts on Bruce because I have been sold on him for 2 years now. |

I like Irvin, but I see him as a first rounder. I doubt we even have a shot. _________________

He's a 3-4 OLB and one-trick pony. No thank you. _________________

? 4.5 40 and according to Mayock
| Quote: | | Bruce is a compelling prospect whose athletic ability is as unique as his path to the NFL. An electrifying pass rusher who will fit as either a specialist DE or an OLB in a 3-4 scheme, Irvin uses a flurry of moves and his uncanny athletic ability to maneuver his undersized frame around and through offensive linemen to produce massive sack production in his limited views at West Virginia. A player who is hampered by his size and amount of snaps taken at a high level, Irvin should be selected within the first two rounds of the draft by a team looking for a boost in their ability to get to the quarterback. |

Exactly, a one-trick pony. He can get to the QB, but he's terrible against the run. In the 4-3, he'd be a situational pass rusher. I'd rather give Sidbury more snaps than draft Irvin in the second. _________________

PASS!!!!! he reminds me of Aaron Maybin a few years ago. looks like a football player but u jus dont have anywhere to put him. too small to play DE in either the 43 or 34. and to small to play the rush LB in the 34.
just dont kno exactly where to put him where hes gonna excel. maybe come in as an extra blitzer on passing downs but other then that, idk. so thats a big PASS for me _________________ Say Jax & Quizz = "The Dread Heads" |

| I'd love to have Irvin and especially more than people that would just give Sidbury more reps. Irvin has a chance to be something special in the league and the most successful DE/OLB's lately have been the undersized but lightning quick guys. However, his 40 time pretty much guaranteed that he'll be gone by our #2 and I don't want to move up. |
