Whiteny Mercilus said we have shown a lot of interest in him. I always liked that kid. _________________

Eh I take everything that's said at the combine with a grain of salt. Obviously a pass rusher is a big need for the Bills, so it's no surprise they talked with him. I would hope they sit down with just about all the top pass rushers.
I just saw they had a meeting with QB Brock Osweiler. He's likely a late 1st/early 2nd rounder. I doubt we take him, but they're just doing their due diligence. _________________

love his numbers, but i don't see it all there on tape. | He might not be an athletic freak but he has a non stop motor. I like a player like that. I think he is like aldon smith. Not that great of a prospect but is a player that just never stops and gets the job done. _________________

Weren't guys like Chris Kelsay, Tim Anderson, and Aaron Maybin described as high motor guys as well though? I like guys who don't give up, but you also need to have some talent to go along with it. _________________

He is just not that top5 prospect that is an athletic freak. _________________

I know he has some talent, but sometimes a high motor and 'some' talent doesn't cut it. Maybin went in the 1st, Kelsay 2nd, and Anderson 3rd. They had 'some' talent too. It just didn't translate well to the NFL.
I wouldn't mind Mercilus in the 2nd, but I've seen projections with him in the top 15 picks. That's too high for a decently talented guy with a high motor IMO. _________________

Watching the combines for a bit today and they had the TE's going through drills. We all know the top guys but one guy that stood out to me was the kid from LSU Deangelo Peterson. The guy was up at the top at most of the skill testing, and I think just was not displayed much in a run first offense. He might be a sleeper that we could get in rd 4 or 5. _________________

I hope that we are interested in Whitney Mercilus in the second round. Unless they plan to trade down it would be disappointing to take him at #10.
I'd be happier taking Vinny Curry or Chandler Jones in the 2nd, than Mercilus at #10. |

why even bring that guy up? he guesses stuff. if it comes true everyone thinks he is credible, if it doesn't then everyone is like "oh well he isn't right all the time." Stevie could be close to a new contract, but if anything was done we would all know. _________________

Just throwing it out there for people to make their own judgement on it. I personally believe the guy is a joke an is way off on what his repots but I thought just to post it and let other decide if they want to believe it or not. _________________

Haven't been able to watch the combine at all, but I just heard that Michael Floyd ran a 4.42 40. At 6'3" 225 lbs, with good hands and route running, he will almost unquestionably be the 2nd WR off the board now, and though probably almost all of you will disagree, he's the guy I want at #10. He's always been the guy I wanted, but now that he has run a pretty fast 40, he's solidified himself as my top choice.
Then get a Vinny Curry/Andre Branch/Whitney Mercilus (if he lasts that long) in the 2nd.
Overall that would help our team more than just taking the top available DE in the first, just to take a DE. I'm not sold on Coples, Upshaw is a ? In the 4-3, etc... _________________

Agree 100%. I haven't been sold on any of the DE's at 10 from the beginning. There's big question marks on all of them. Floyd is a safe pick and will make our offense that much better. I think he'll take a ton of pressure off Stevie and Fitz. That 4.42 time really shows that he has the speed to stretch the field. I'd love him at 10.
P.S. Incarcerated Bob is a joke _________________
