NFL Player Mock Draft - Sign up Thread (6 vacant teams)

What is it? This is a mock draft of current players in the NFL. There will be rules for eligible players. 24 teams will be assigned to various people. You can have up to 2 co-owners. The draft will be a snake draft with the order being picked out of a hat. The 24 teams go in the draft order and select a player with each pick to build a team of 11 starters on offense, 11 starters on defense, a kicker, a punter, and 8 reserves(4 for offense and 4 for defense). This is a test of people's football knowledge to see who can assemble the best team on paper. The best team will be decided by voting.

If you are interested, leave your forum name here. If you want to have a co-owner or two, tell me also. I will give more rules and information later, but I want to see how much interest this generates first.

UPDATE: We will be having only 24 teams unless more people start to show interest.

Rules

*Players must have been on a 53 player gameday roster, injured reserve, or the practice squad at some point in the 2011 NFL season to be eligible. Retired players are not eligible. If a player retires, you will get a compensatory pick at the end of the draft.

*The draft is a snake draft (I will determine the order later or someone not participating can). The clock will be from 10am - 10pm EST. You can make a pick at any time if you have missed a pick or are on the clock, even if the clock is not currently running. Players that are suspended for the whole season are not eligible. Players suspended for a certain number of games are.

*For the first 6 rounds, you will get 1.5 hours on the clock. Your time starts from the moment the last person picked. If you cannot make a pick, send a big board or designate that it is okay to skip you (there may be another thread in this or you can post in the discussion thread and PM me).

*You must have 11 starters on offense and defense. You can run any type of scheme on both sides of the ball. There will be 4 reserve players on each side of the ball, a kicker, and a punter. This totals 32 players total so there will be 32 rounds.

*There will be penalties for missing picks. We can discuss how severe the penalties will be.

*You can trade players and picks. At the end of the draft, you have to have 32 players. If you have more, then the first 32 you drafted will be counted. If you have less, you will be able to pickup players who have not been drafted. It is recommended that you trade an equal number of players and/or picks.

*Trades will be subject to veto if it ruins the balance of this game. If a trade is unfair, it is not subject to veto. An example of a trade subject to veto is someone trading their first, second, and third round picks for someone else's fourth, fifth, and sixth round picks. A trade along the lines of a first and second for a first and third is not subject to veto. There will be a veto committee that can consist of people in this or of outsiders.

*There will be 24 teams total. The league will consist of 2 conferences with 12 teams each. There will be 3 divisions that consist of 4 players each. We will have to figure out how many people make the playoffs before the draft.

*During the draft, you cannot discuss players who have not been drafted. You will receive a penalty if this happens. The severity of these penalties can be discussed and need to be established before the draft.
