You gave 30 million to an oft-injured defensive linemen that can't rush the passer from the edge.

Bye.

imani, first off, realize this is FFMD. Players get paid roughly 1.5-2 times what they should in real life.

That's 5 years, 75M. That's really not that bad. That's 15M a year, where as Fitz will be making on average 17M+ a year.

we're talking about vincent jackson, this dude isn't even top 5.

65 guaranteed plus 35 for his initials? I understand this is fake, but come on son.

We dont even have a QB to throw the ball to him...not a good one

And we weren't even the top bid. Bucs offered him 30 million MORE in guarantees.

Mario Manningham got 80 million dollars. Tracy Porter got 90 million dollars. Vincent Jackson got 112 million dollars.

Yea, we won.

so we're the best dressed idiots?

Meh, it is what it is. I'll just turn my attention to the draft, hopefully that will have a strain of reality in it somewhere(except for the ridiculous trades)

I love the signing, but the money is outlandish. I came into FFMD hoping it would be pretty realistic, but it's not. Once the free agent money started flying out the window and 2nd tier WR's were getting $10 million a year, it became laughable. Hopefully, the powers that be, will take note and put some rules in place, to fix this kind of ridiculousness for the 2013 FFMD.

Since this was the going rate in this particular mock draft, I like the deal, but in a real life situation, I'd have somebody's head for this.

Hey now, aside from the guaranteed money, which admittedly is high, when you weight it by FFMD standards with Fitz's contract in consideration (which you have to use for a guy who's top 8 at WR), we're not too bad at all.

Larry Fitzgerald is a top 3 WR at worst and is making 6 to 7 million less PER YEAR than a WR who is AT BEST the #8 WR in the NFL.

We gave him 1 million more a year than you gave an oft injured DE with 2 career sacks. And we did that with him on the open market.

We also re-signed a WR who is 1.5 years older than Jackson who has more catches and yards over his last 2 FULL seasons than Jackson does over his last 2 FULL seasons(so 2011 and 2009 for Jackson). And we re-signed him for nearly 1/3rd the cost.

If it's any bonus, there was a clause in the contract which states if he gets another DUI (which would be an automatic suspension under the NFL's 3 strike policy), he would have to surrender his base salary.
