...was informed of his impending release today..He will be 29 in April, but has kick return ability to add to his veteran CB skills. What do you people think of adding him if the price is right as a 4th CB and to return kicks? (Like a better Alan Ball with return skills) _________________

And then draft Coty Sensabaugh, the Safety from Clemson! _________________

Witten is just too slow and nonathletic to be a dominant force in the receiving game. |

I wanted him signed last off-season. Would've liked it better before they gave too much money to Scandrick, but bring the guy in with hopefully an early pick and let them all compete. Not a great player, but I think he's solid with good value and plenty of starting experience. At worst, he's your nickleback and return man. I say get him, bring in another guy, then spend the savings elsewhere, but I'm sure I'll be in the minority. _________________ http://youtube.com/watch?v=v_j8lLDVGgY&mode=related&search= |

I have heard from Ravens fans that he is god awful so that must be the reason why they released him. I don't want him on the team after hearing that. _________________

Can't be worse than Ball/Walker, can he? I'd look at him as a depth guy, nothing more. _________________

Rather have Richard Marshall if we aren't getting one of the top 2-3 corners available. Kinda feel Carr would be about the same as Scandrick so not really worth it. But again, he is better then ball if he is willing to take cheap money and be our number 4 who fights for 3 with Scandrick I am all over it. _________________

While I agree that we want to churn the bottom of the roster, too, I'd prefer one of the many young CBs projected to go day 2 of the draft... from what I gather, they are all a step up from Ball/Walker as well, and will be younger and cheaper...
Nothing wrong with putting this guy in camp and letting him compete, though... and it would be hilarious if we did end up with 2 Carrs and 2 Jenks at CB. |
