coinflips were done by FFMD earlier. The draft order is not going to be changed.

Personally, I'm not opposed to them changing it. What's the point of not having it be the real order when we now know the real order?

After coinflips and trades made by FFMD, I could not see the draft would be tweaked to meet the real life.

I don't think the real-life coinflip results should affect FFMD simply because they happened AFTER FFMD began. It's not really a big deal, though. I'm not even sure how the coinflips turned out in FFMD but since they don't affect my team at all, I don't really care.

The coinflips story is in the draft thread.

I'd go Chargers. Haven't seen much of anything from them.

Meh, we had Cliff Avril pulled out from under our feet in the lockout (deal was going to be agreed to, lockout came, then poof, done because deals could be negotiated and the Jets tried to get him.) and I'm not one to throw out 80 million dollar contract because "its not real money"

And we didn't have any tradable players really....... TnT are frowned upon for the most part and McNeill wasn't getting us anything.

Bet Green Bay is mad. Perry may go the pick before and he'd be deadly in GB.

I mean, you are the least improved team with still a lot of talent. So it's not like you needed to make a splash. Although, I can see why you took offense to my remarks.

I am excited to get this Draft started, does every team have an active GM at the moment? How long does each team get for each pick? Just wanted to brush up on some stuff. The Bills would also like to move up into the 2nd/3rd round and have a ton of picks and a few players on the trade block as ammunition if teams are looking for extra picks.

Rather difficult to do when you've got a number of your own FA's to try and retain, on a market where the prices have been bloated out of proportion, and we're working on limited cap space. How exactly do you suggest we make this "splash?" We also chose to play things straight up, in that the team has said that they won't franchise tender Vincent Jackson so we did not. We could have chosen to dismiss that and tagged and traded him as some teams have done with players that are very unlikely to see the franchise tag, but we elected not to.

Also as a matter of principle, we actually put thought into realistic contract values beyond just Y1 for our own free agents and the FA's we went after (save for Lee Evans after it was certain we had no prayer of retaining Vincent Jackson). We could have "improved" our team plenty if we'd have just offered middling Y1 cap-hits and $20-30M/yr cap hits (in excess of twice the cap hit for the top player at their position) to players we liked.

Basically this. We had to take care of our own guys, and then we weren't willing to give 10 million dollar year one cap hits just to get like Robert freaking Meachem.

Im not much of a complainer but this is dumb, why would we not have the real draft order? The coinflip was done earlier because the draft was going to start before the combine, but with it getting moved back, we should use the real NFL draft order. Its hard to simulate free agency and trade realistically, but come on its pretty easy to have the proper draft order.

PM someone like LBC and take it up with him. I doubt arguing about it amongst other staff members with no power is going to get you anywhere.

Yeah Ill PM someone, but Im not gonna argue about it, if someone with authority comes in and says its not changing then thats what it is. I just don't see any reason not too, its not like freezing the rosters before FFMD, its the actual draft order.
