I have a feeling Illoka is going no later then the 3rd. He's size will attract someone trying to stop the new breed of TE's.

I can see trading Devito for a pick but not a 4th the guy has graded out as one of the top run defenders for the last 2 years in a row.

Updated the mock!!!

Iloka's draft position isnt changing in my mind yet. This is an incredibly deep yet weird year for safeties (no 5 star cant-miss guys but tons of solid mid-round guys)

Lemme know what you guys think of the update!!!

George iloka has amazing size and speed... But according to walterfootball.com hea
projected to go in the 6th but the combine could change that

That's from at least a month ago. His stock went to 2nd-3rd round after the Sr. Bowl.

Better mock, I could live with the draft.

You have 10 OL man on out depth chart. How is that possible? We only carry 8. The draft is OK and i do agree with up grading at DT. Devito is not good despite what the Jets fans on this site think.

I had to laugh.

The knock on DeVito is that he's one dimensional and lacks speed. That's a given. But what he does do is blow up running plays in the backfield, and he is very good at that.

He does not blow running plays in the backfield, he just BLOWS.

thats really not even clever.

Devito does all the dirty work, without guys like him stopping the run, theres no need to even go get a pass rusher

Walter's is a little out of date. They show Lester and Rambo as the 2nd and 3rd safety prospect for this year but both are staying in college.
Iloka really impressed at the senior bowl and I think will be gone in the 2nd but definitely in the 3rd.

Thats not necessarily true. There are other guys who can do the dirty work but also have speed and the ability to rush the pass.

The point isnt that DeVito isn't good (he's a quality ftball player), its just that Kendall Langford (or a Calias Campbell) would be a major upgrade over DeVito (whose kinda a 1-trick pony).

IMO upgrading DeVito would be a "luxury", something not necessary but nice. I have no objections if they try doing that by picking a large DE/DT in the late rounds (or if Brockers or Still fell to them at 16 or Cox at 47, neither of which i think will happen). Actually with all those picks i would be surprised if they didn't get at least one 300 lb d lineman.

Yes, there are other guys that are more complete players than DeVito. But is our D-line really the unit you think our front office is looking to upgrade this off-season? Is that where teams beat us? No. DeVito, at his price is a great asset to this team.

You guys better hope Yord doesn't catch you badmouthing DeVito Laughing
