McFadden will be on a different team next year, so I would put him close to the top of the list. _________________ First jersey purchased: Jamarcus Russell.
Second jersey purchased: Rolando McClain.
Next purchases: Every Chiefs, Chargers and Broncos player. |

I will be particularly interested to see how AP comes back. When 100% he is clearly the most talented RB in the league, but goodness that injury looked totally devastating. _________________

Can't see why people are putting Peterson up there. It's going to be very tough for him to play like a top 10 back when he'll start the season only 8 months removed from tearing his ACL. I think the Vikings will give Gerhart more carries next season to decrease the workload for Peterson as well.
Not in any particular order:
MJD
Foster
Rice
Forte
McCoy
CJ
Murray
Lynch
Mathews
Jackson _________________

It looks like, in the process of providing us with your prediction for the top 9 running backs in the league next season, you have blessed us with a compelling proof that you cannot order numbers properly. |

Huh? He's ordering them based on that guys list, and putting the numbers HE thinks they are ranked in in order. Its clear as day.... _________________

I thought so. Also, I was on my phone and its easier to copy and paste then it is to write out fully.

I love him, but Ahmad Bradshaw should not be on this list. There are at least a dozen more talented RB's who have also performed better. _________________

11. C.J Spiller
Yes I could be going out on a limb here but I think CJ Spiller is an explosion waiting to happen. Scary fast, but dances around way too much at times but the potential is there. I am buying in because I just want to see him and the Bills do well and he can be a treat to watch once he learns to trust his blockers and the scheme. I also think Buffalo will dramatically improve the O-line this offseason (don't ask how).
10. Darren McFadden
The only reason he isn't higher on this list is the string of concerning injuries. Darren McFadden is the definition of an explosive playmaker. There isn't another RB I would take above him if he was guaranteed to be healthy. He has got speed to get to the outside, as well as the attitude to run people over. And once you see the back of his jersey, you might as well stop chasing and take a breather. Now comes a make or break season with all the questions about his durability, and I think he will pass it with flying colors similar to what Stafford did from the QB position this year.
9. Marshawn Lynch
I don't think it is a mystery to why his nickname is Beast Mode. He should stay in Seattle as the QB situation is settled and can be a stabilizing force for the team. One of the most physical runners in the league, he will always be looking to shed tacklers off as if they were nothing to him.
8. Matt Forte
I have severely underrated him I feel. He is jack of all trades and can do them about as well as any other RB in the entire league. The definition of a workhorse. Forte is a beast.
7. Chris Johnson
He still has as much talent as any RB in the league but needs to be consistent. Sometimes looks tentative and other times looks ferocious. He is quite possibly the fastest player in the NFL but needs to trust his blocking more.
6. Arian Foster
Quite the workhorse. Arian Foster was my 10th round draft pick of a few years past (/end random fantasy bragging). He has such an unique running style I feel and is very decisive and hits the holes as hard as anyone. Him and Andre Johnson on the field at the same time for long periods of time is a must for the Texans to take the next step.
5. Jamaal Charles
The ACL injury was devastating so early in the season but it allowed Charles to focus clearly on next season. I think he will come back with a chip on his shoulder and get back to dominating and humiliating grown men. May god have mercy on the defenses the chiefs face because Jammal Charles most certainly will not.
4. Maurice Jones-Drew
Pocket Hercules is aptly nicknamed. He is a dense compact human being. He will take you head on and keep smiling when he does it. He needs to be more of an assertive leader in the locker room and not accept all the losing that Jacksonville has had to endure. I think he will get that team turned around fairly quickly back to the playoffs. Maybe.
3. Ray Rice
Rice fits most of the descriptions of MJD however is absolutely lethal coming as a pass catching RB. I have even seen him lined up at WR. There are few things which Ray Rice isn't outstanding at and is evolving into a burgeoning superstar at the RB position.
2. Adrian Peterson
Adrian Peterson is a tremendous athlete. I believe he will come back 100% from his injury and still be a force to be reckoned with. Has corrected his fumble problems.
1. Lesean McCoy
Yes I think he will be the best RB in the NFL next year. As good of a pass catcher as most WRs and is a very shifty runner with jukes that will make you feel sorry for the guy who missed. An elite talent, I think McCoy will only get better from here on out. He is a better, more athletic Brian Westbrook.

| ACL tears arent what they used to be, recovery is much quicker and players seem to bounce back with ease. I am not sure why so many doubt Peterson. tHe guy is a physical freak, and most of all, he is probably one of the most dedicated players in the game. |
