Sanu is slowly moving up to being my #1 receiver in this class…I know guys like Floyd & Jeffery have more upside…but they also come with more risk…Sanu’s physicality is really winning me over…he reminds me of Hakeem Nicks in a lot of ways. | If he runs well and Jeffery doesnt he could jump him in my eyes that as far as he could go in my opinion. |
On the field...sure...but if you take in to account his character compared to Floyd I think he can jump him if Floyd doesn't impress in the interviews (by the way when I say #1 WR in the class I mean of the guys we actually have a shoot at) | I assumed that's what you meant.
I could have him ahead of Floyd based on the injuries but I still highly doubt it. Sanu is a bit inconsistent and most of his production is out of the slot. He's a bit of a rich mans Earl Bennett. |
I think a lot of Sanu’s production coming out of the slot has more to do with Chas Dodd not having the arm to get the ball outside the hash marks and the team finding a way to get him the ball…Sanu caught 115 balls last year…consistency isn’t really an issue IMO…
As far as him being a rich man’s Earl Bennett I would be more than happy with that…Bennett has everything that a quality WR has as shown when he and Cutler were healthy at the same time last season…Sanu has better jump ball skills & body control…is a better blocker than Bennett…is even more physical and IMO has a better skill set for playing on the outside…if he came in here and was a better Earl Bennett I don’t know of anyone that would have a problem with that…as I’ve said I feel his physicality, size, hands, separation skills, body control & toughness makes him comparable to Hakeem Nicks. |

OHHHH I was gonna say, EASYYYY GUY!! What's your take on Kendall Wright? Haven't seen much chatter about him on here about him. I noticed a few mocks have us taking him at #19. IF Jeffrey runs under a 4.5 and performs well on other skills then he's going to be hard to pass up. I don't see him running under a 4.55 though.. |

Sanu is best used when running underneath routes. His drops are why I call him inconsistent. Bennett and Sanu as better in the slot. Unless we plan on running 4 WRs or were getting rid of Bennett then there are better options in Floyd, Wright, Jeffery. |

Doesn't have the skill set we need IMO...even if we brining in a bigger more physical WR in FA I still feel we need another bigger receiver in the core and Wright doesn't provide that. |

My top 5 guys I'm looking forward to seeing...
1. Chandler Jones...DE...Syracuse
2. Josh Norman...CB...Costal Carolina
3. Marvin Jones...WR...Cal
4. Mo Sanu...WR...Rutgers
5. Nigel Bradham...LB...Florida State
(Anyone want to guess at 5 guys who are more than likely going to be in my post combine mock ) |
Looking forward to seeing all these guys you listed. Gotta throw in Alshon Jeffery. Really need to see what kind of shape he is in and what he runs. Not that he will be a blazer, but need to see if he is more Mike Williams or is he Hakeem Nicks. I like Sanu a lot and at this point would take him over Jefferey. My top 5 WR are as follows right now:
Blackmon
Floyd
Sanu
Wright
Jeffery |

Gotta agree from our needs standpoint, even if we bring in a physical wr like a Bowe or VJax, we need to add a guy like Floyd or Sanu or Jeffery. We have enough of the slot/speed guys with Hester/Sanz/Bennet/Knox (questionable w/ his injury). |

Even if Jeffery weighs in at 230 as long as he is still fast and quick enough to get open then I won't be discouraged. Brandon Marshall is 6'4" 230 and ran a 4.57. Colston is 6'5" 225 lb and ran a 4.55. Anything right around there is plenty fast IMO. I'm sure he knows all of this though and has been training to run faster since the day he declared for the draft. I will be surprised if he isn't in the 4.55 area come time for the combine and certainly by the South Carolina pro day. _________________

Thats a great comparison MM90, I see the similarities in a lot of ways.. Including where their drafted IMO. However, I don't feel he could make the same kind of impact as Michael Floyd. I have him, Alshon, and Kendall Wright all right below Blackmon/Floyd. _________________

I really don't care what he runs b/c he's a freakin young TO w/o the drama. Best WR in this class and it's not even close or debatable, would not surprise me in the least to see him go #3 to Minny. _________________

No one said he would be as good as Nicks...however as prospects they are very comparable...you could possibly write the same scouting report for both...also his drops? You sure you’re watching the right guy lol? Sanu has some of the biggest, strongest hands in this draft...drops are in no way shape or form an issue. |

Sanu has great & consistent hands…I have no idea where you’re getting that he doesn’t from…I asked jokingly if you were watching the right guy…I’m not so sure I should have asked jokingly considering I reckon you haven’t been watching the right guy if you think he doesn’t have great hands...
Also as far as watching games...I think most here will know who out of the two of us watches the most football. |
