Our pick in Kiper's latest draft:
| Code: |
Dwayne Allen, TE, Clemson
The Super Bowl will provide plenty of good memories for Giants fans, but from a personnel standpoint, people should also remember the injuries they suffered at tight end, and Allen is the best one in this draft. He's a fantastic athlete, can create matchup problems and further diversify the Giants' offense as they maximize this window of exceptional quarterback play. The Giants could also look for help on the offensive line, or target a linebacker here, but I expect Allen's profile to rise during the workout process, and he should represent a lot of value here.

| Im estimating Allens chances of getting drafted by us to be remotely in the same ballpark s the Giants accepting this years open application by me to be member of the fitness staff. If you want percentages Im guessing 0.2%... |

Well, I'm not sure he's ever gotten our pick right. Maybe JPP. _________________

To be fair, we are hard to predict. But its pretty easy to see who we wont pick. Tight end and interior O-Line is not going to get drafted by us in the first. Its just not happening |

What about DT, X?
I seen some mocks giving as a DT in the first. I think its stupid with Canty, Joseph, Austin already on the team |

If it's BPA I can see them doing it. Austin hasn't played ball in 2 years and the last time was in college. _________________

Wow! I truly thought kiper gets the right pick around 5 percent of the time...

I still better change my mock. The "experts" are only good in the top 10 _________________

If a first round tender is put on Arian Foster, how would you guys feel about giving up pick 32 for him? I'd personally be all for it. The guy is only 25 and a ridiculously talented RB. Plus he plays for pennies. Then we can cut Jacobs and have even more cap room. No RB at 32 will have his talent. _________________

I don't believe in early first round RBs. But late in the first round, I'd go for it. If Lamar Miller is available, depending on who else is on the board, I'd consider taking him. He has game changing speed. _________________

If they put a first round tender on him, we could get him for a first. That's how it works. _________________

Honestly, I could see us letting TT and Ross walk so we have enough to resign Manningham then drafting a CB as early as the first. This draft is EXTREMELY deep at CB and we can land a really good CB prospect at 32 even. Chase Minnifield or even Alfonzo Dennard could fall to us. _________________

Watch out for Trumaine Johnson. I think he can creep up into the late 1st early 2nd if he impresses at the combine. The guy is big and fluid and fits the Giants scheme really well. Both him and Chase I could definitely see being on Jerry's radar. _________________ 44 and 21 Once a Giant, always a Giant
