The window is closing.

Who is going to catch up? The Marlins? You guys won't afford all these FA signings after no one shows up still. A team with no fanbase doesn't scare me, you can't compete with the phillies money.

The braves? eh they aren't going anything impressive.

The nats however are looking like a team on the rise. They could be competition.

Who do the Phillies have? They have a bunch of old men just waiting to decline, some who are already declining.

I'm not saying the Phillies WONT be atop the division for a few more years, but it's not unlikely that they start to fall apart.

I don't know the yankees seem to fix things with money, why won't the phillies be able to?

Plus the main purpose of my post was to remind panthers11 that the marlins have no fans and all these high price free agentrs will be traded away when they realize they can't afford them.

So go argue with a rangers fan about something.

AL West fans are by far the most annoying on this forum.

Yeah I still think it is up in the air who has a better 5th best left handed pitching prospect, they should settle that one.

The Marlins will be passing the declining Phillies soon. Enjoy your time now.

So basically your main point was to put him down because of something he can't control? Got it.

And I never said they couldn't fix it with money, but right now it isn't looking good, a bunch of old players ready to decline with a weak farm system doesn't mix too well.

Nah, he's right. The only good players on the Marlins are the 3 FA's they have signed and the new stadium will have no effect.

We have gone all in the past few years, but our farm system will recover, if we do end up declining I doubt we're out of it for long. Phillies have a good thing going right now, only being held back by our kind of dumb GM.
