Ok so is it a consensus to keep manning and still go into the draft with the plan of drafting Luck?
I think the team is a bit far off to be able to compete for a superbowl even with manning the next couple of years. _________________

If 'we' pay Manning we don't have to worry about the repercussions of possibly cutting him after one year. So I am all for carrying both QBs as long as we can get a restructure done for Freeney. |
This is the key part of this. stallyns do you know what the current number us for the number one pick? | ]Cam Newton's contract was 4 years $22,025,498 million all guaranteed
$14,518,544 million signing bonus
base salaries
year 1 - $375K
year 2 - $1,376,519
year 3 - $2,377318
year 4 - $3,378,477
his cap number for year 1 was $4,004,363
I PMd drd23 to find out if those numbers had been figured out yet (draft pick salaries) and let him know that we were wondering about restructuring Freeney's contract. |

I think the team is a bit far off to be able to compete for a superbowl even with manning the next couple of years. | I think that all depends on restructuring Freeney's contract.
We have $25.6 million in cap space to resign a lot of free agents and the #1 pick. |

I thought we were done debating manning... It is only 2m difference! Easy call!
Should gave nothing to do with Freeneys restructure..
We are going to save, money by releasing Brackett! _________________

agreed, Manning is retained. financially it's not that much of a birden, and we have the room anyway like reggie said.
