You a guy who has played very limited snaps at FS in his career as in less than 150 and move him to FS? Smart Move.

Also the cap savings on Bradley is only $2M. He has 4 years left on his contract with $1M of signing bonus each left.

Yeah I moved a younger and more than capable person to FS. Kerry Rhodes is an attitude problem and is at the point in his career where he will become ineffective.

According to the spread sheet the cap savings on him was 5 million. 5 million base and 1 million bonus

1 - Rhodes has been nothing but a connsumate professional in his time here and has been nothing but an asset to this defense. In a time where talent at S is at an all time low you trade away one of the most talented in the league. For a 4th round pick. And then reaplce him with a guy who has never started a game at the position in his career.

2 - 1M against this cap year. But if you cut him the rest of the signnig bonus accelerates onto the cap. He has another three years on his contract after this one. That 3M ends up on the 2012 cap as dead money.

6M hit, 4M dead money = 2M savings.

You do realize you guys traded for him coming off a decent year for similar compensation. There wasnt any more safeties in the market at this point than there are now. Richard Marshall starts at one of the hardest positions in football and has great range. It would be a pretty seamless transition. Oh btw Kerry Rhodes just came off an injury riddled season(ineffective when he did play) and is 30 years old.

So the signing bonus from the other years kicks into this one?

1 - It does nothing but hurt the team. Who starts at CB AJ Jefferson? I he really ready, Who plays the #3 Greg Toler coming of an ACL Tear? Mike Adams who has struggled with the role before? Crezdon Butler who just spent the year on IR.

The secondary is significantly weakened by trading the player who was at worst the 3rd best player in the unit.

Also the Cards traded a 3rd and 5th round pick for him. Not a single 4th rounder.

2 - Yes it all accelerates onto this years cap. The bonus has been paid. It has to hit the cap at some stage, the year he was cut is that stage.

Yeah see the only problem with that is Kerry Rhodes was traded to you guys for a 4th and a 7th Rolling Eyes. Get the facts right. Laughing

Its significantly weakend because we got rid of a aging injured safety?

You have two guys there that I would like to see play. Toler and Jefferson. You cant sit them on the bench forever.

Ill make the change.

You'll pardon me, but I have to put my GM Mock Moderator hat on for a moment and be perfectly serious:

After several revelations of both blatant and ignorant violation of FFMD rules have come to light this evening (2/7), I have felt the need to pay a visit to every team forum to refresh on the rules of FFMD.

More specifically, FFMD is intended to spur conversation and member activity on the FootballsFuture website. I understand that there is, at times, a necessary element of secrecy to safeguard moves being made from the eyes of rival staffs, but at ABSOLUTELY NO TIME should discussion be moved to any medium that is not part of the FootballsFuture.com server - this includes outside email accounts, outside Instant Messenger services, Chatzy's or other chat rooms, other football forum sites, EtherPads, use of GoogleDocs as a discussion medium (aside from spreadsheets and master code key lists), and so forth.

Those who have been found to violate the rules in this instance have been punished accordingly, and I would like to personally thank those members who had the integrity to own up to their wrongdoing and accept their punishment. Let it be known, however, that from hereon forward punishment for blatant violation of FFMD Rules will be severe. In the instance of using these outside communication mediums, teams found in violation will be penalized NO LESS than a 2nd round pick and potentially worse (including potential financial implications) at the discretion of the moderators leading FFMD. Furthermore any General Manager or Assistant General Manager found to be knowingly in violation of this rule will be removed from his position effective immediately!

Let me reiterate the the purpose of FFMD is intended to be for the fun of EVERYONE. I get that everyone wants to produce the best result they can, however that CANNOT come at the expense of breaking the rules. We're not here to cheat, folks. This is our site's single biggest annual event, outside of draft day, and neither our Webmaster, or I, or the rest of the moderator staff appreciate anyone tarnishing its good name by blatantly cheating.

Thank you to the teams that have played this on the up and up thus far and have treated this as what it is intended to be. To any who have committed violations during this FFMD, you would be best to come forward and own up to it and the sooner the better. If we find out on our own that you have (or are continuing to) cheated, there will be no such thing as leniency in consideration.

Now hopefully we can move forward from this and have a good and FUN remaining FFMD-12.

Thank you for your time and cooperation,
The LBC

The Carolina Panthers are doing business as usual. Though we'll get no offical word on anything for a few days it's not stopping us in trade talks, and discussions about our team.
This is a "shut-down" not a "lock-out" there is a difference. Kinda like when the goverment shuts down but the business's inside the country still run an operate...

Nah on the 3rd. Kind of old but I could live with giving up a 4th.
