WELCOME TO THE SAN DIEGO CHARGERS WAR(CRAFT) ROOM
I, JammerHammer21, will be heading the FFMD. BUT I need every single fan here to help me out. We have some of the most intelligent posters on the board in this forum if you ask me, and its a close group.
THE TIMELINE

Midnight will be the deadline to sign up to be a GM or writer for this edition of FFMD-12. After that point this thread will be closed. We will only decide who will the GM position! The members not chosen as GM’s will then navigate over to their team’s forum and ask to become a member of the staff in the war room. The newly appointed GM’s will workout the details of creating a working staff with job titles based on interested members. Again, it is not first come first serve and at any time you are encouraged to jump in and contribute. Simply post within the war room of our teams forum and the GM can add you to the staff. Remember please only sign up here if you would like to apply for a GM or Writer position. If you are not interested in either of these positions then please wait until the War Rooms are set up in your respected team forum to apply for a different position.
--Tuesday, January 31st--
An announcement will be posted acknowledging who has been selected as writers and GM’s. Be sure to check back here then. Members who are not selected should immediately head over to your teams War Room to apply within for a desired position. The GM will begin to create the staff that will coordinate the efforts throughout this process.
--Monday, February 6th--
Staff positions will be finalized within each team war rooms. Obviously you can add any interested members after this deadline as a scout, since an unlimited number is allowed. The position titles will transition into what is listed below. Obviously you will have the ability to customize your staff into any positions you would like. Please use our staff positions as a guide. For those who complete their staff early you may use this time to prepare for the upcoming periods within FFMD-12. Please remember that even if you do not have an official title within the staff created you may still offer your input and opinion to the event within your war room. We encourage anyone to contribute in whichever capacity you would like. It is highly recommended that you use this extra time for preparation. Staying organized is critical to a successful FFMD.
--Monday, February 6th--
Rosters and Salary Information will be finalized. Free Agency rules will be posted in a different thread. The cap will also be posted along with each teams cap space.
--Tuesday, February 7th--
Franchise tag/Transition tag/Release period begins from 8am to 10pm. All teams interested in placing the franchise tag/transition tag on an upcoming UFA must be placed within this deadline. Figures will outlined in the transactions thread. The cap saving formula for releasing a player will be posted in the upcoming days. The ground rules for the UFA period will be announced in great detail at a later date.

WHAT I NEED:
Assistant GM: Mgoblue44
To go around and explore trade options and confer with me as to some of our plans. Explore the options and work out deals to get us the best price on a player or on picks. A very important role.
Capologist: lakeroy
This person will keep constant check of our cap and determine what we can do, what we can't do, etc. This person NEEDS to stay on top of our cap with EVERY move we make because otherwise, this FFMD will not go well.
Player Personnel: Zappaz
Will help determine who we should go after in FA, trades, etc and will work with GM, Asst. GM, and capologist (everyone else too, but these guys mainly) to determine what we should do.
Head College Scout: Duffman57
If you know a fan who is particularly well versed on a certain position, assign them to that role if need be. Will help overall in college scouting as well, and will try to coordinate who people should watch if we can agree as a team that we have geniune interest in someone.
Head Coach: MrDrew
Talk among the Offensive and Defensive consultants and decide what draft strategy should be as well as what free agents should stay and go, who we should target in free agency, and in general, what needs to happen with the roster. PLUS YOU GET TO BE NORV TURNER! YAY
Offensive Consultants: THE-Beast, Stone85
Defensive Consultants: THE LBC, AntonioGates
Basically the "scout" role, I'd like people to sign up for the offense or defensive consultants (or both if so inclined) to help determine what draft and free agents players you like or don't like, etc. BUT EVERYONE WILL HOPEFULLY HELP OUT IN SCOUTING!
