If we still had Tebow as our QB I would be all over getting Harvin. Especially because Harvin is not exactly a "route runner" but a "playmaker". Tebow and Harvin together again would be a dream.
But as we are now, I say no thanks. Peyton will utilize timing routes and precision. Something that is not Harvin's forte. _________________

I can't think of another playmaker on the Vikings besides Adrian Peterson. With that said, no way the Vikings grant this guys wish. _________________

I have made the following out of my own hair: a hair doll and toupee. I will sell them to you for a mere $25. _________________ Ninja stealth muggers in the Bellagio has left me in a state of congitive disonance... |

Why do we lock threads having to do with former players? I don't know how it is for you guys in CO but here in Packer country fans always seem interested in talking about former players, no matter how long they played. I remember watching games and my dad would always tell me who the former Packers were (not that I cared).
I just think we need to loosen up on the whole "this has nothing to do with Broncos football." Because it does. Former players have to do with Broncos football IMO. _________________

There should be a, "where are they now" sticky...then if someone finds a story about someone like, Ashley Lelie, we can all find out that he is working at a gas station somewhere in Knoxville. _________________ Ninja stealth muggers in the Bellagio has left me in a state of congitive disonance... |

I've been feeding a baby robin for now a week and he's almost ready to fly! Damn these things grow fast (found him as a 7-8 days old baby lying in the grass) _________________

Darrell Reid is now following me on twitter. Surprising, I didn't ask him to...
Not a bad thing
Happy birthday fellow Canadians! _________________

|
|

A Broncos' fan suggested I post this in here.
2013 Off-Season Sim
I am looking to conduct a 2013 – 2014 off-season simulation. The sim would go from about July 5 – August 1st (or so). I hope to get 31 other committed “General Managers”, but if not 16 committed GMs would suffice. I would say if we are forced to double up, each GM would take one AFC squad and one NFC squad. I plan on GM’ing the Houston Texans. I was hoping someone who knows the Broncos well would GM the Broncos.
Spreadsheets I have created already include the following:
- Players under contract for next season
- Projected ERFA / RFA
- Projected UFA for each team & years in NFL
- Salary cap
- Compensatory picks
- Projected franchise tag / RFA amounts
I would also welcome input so I can make changes to any incorrect information (e.g. ERFA or RFA plus contract related info, etc.).
Here’s a projected timetable:
1) Sign-ups: now through July 4th
2) Create depth chart: now through July 4th
3) Decide on ERFA & RFA signings + Decide on franchise tags: July 4th – July 8th
4) Re-structures (up to 3 players) & re-signings (up to 5 players – with fair / reasonable contracts): July 4th – July 8th
5) Prior to Free Agency (roster at 60)
6) Free agency (highest bid wins; no competing bids after 12 hours & player is yours)
QB + specialists – July 9th
RB & FB – July 10th
WR & TE – July 11th
OL – July 12th
DL – July 13th
LB – July 14th
DB – July 15th
7) Open Day (for planning trades, cuts, final free agent signings) – July 16th
Draft (roster at 60) (all juniors eligible)
1st round (1 hour slots) – July 17th & July 18th
2nd round (1hour slots) – July 19th & July 20th
3rd round (1 hour slots) – July 21st & July 22nd
4th round (1 hour slots) – July 23rd & July 24th
5th round (1 hour slots) – July 25th & July 26th
6th round (1 hour slots) – July 27th & July 28th
7th round (1 hour slots) – July 29th & July 30th
9) After draft, sign undrafted free agents (roster to 53 + 8 man PS) – July 31st
Please PM me if you are interested.
I am going to see if I can get at least 10 people to commit before I start creating threads in the GM Mock Drafts forum. (up to 8 so far!) |

Overstating "disgrace" somewhat.
I'm struggling to think of anything I could possibly care less about.
Not to say I don't appreciate Twitter though, best for traffic news. But thats about it. |
