With the #30 overall pick in the 2012 NFL Draft...
The San Francisco 49ers select....
| Quote: |
There will be some "experts" to question this pick, but Jim Harbaugh is in the business of dismissing ignorance and bettering his team regardless of outside opinion. Jim will continue to improve on a fantastic 14-3 first year with the Niners, and take another great step in the direction of Super Bowl ring #6 with the selection of Coby Fleener. San Francisco's needs are a secret to no one. We need upgrades for our offensive weapons. We need to lure coverage away from Vernon Davis, Mike Crabtree, and Frank Gore. Adding a red-zone and mismatch threat like Fleener on the other side of Vernon Davis will be a huge boost to our offense. Coming from basically the same system at Stanford, Fleener won't take much time at all to adjust to our scheme. Delanie Walker is a FA after 2012, and can still be utilized as a situational TE/FB shifting all over the backfield and line. After showing great hands, sharp routes, and 4.5 speed at his pro day, Fleener will surpass his early 2nd round draft status. He was the #1 target for many of us, and FFMD just became a little brighter now.
Cap Hit = 1.375 m
Cap Remaining = 4.582 m

With the #56 overall pick in the 2012 NFL Draft...
The San Francisco 49ers trade up to select....
The 49ers have a late 1st/very early 2nd rd grade on Randle, so the decision to pull the trigger on this trade came to life. After selecting a mismatch weapon in Fleener, the 49ers want to further boost the passing attack by adding more quality to their WR arsenal. Randle has an excellent pair of hands, and has shown the skills to be an effective vertical threat on the other side of Crabtree. He is quick out of his breaks, and is one of the better run blockers of this draft class. Randle's all around game fits very nicely into what Harbaugh wants for his scheme. Happy to have him at this spot, and without losing a draft pick to make the move for him.
Cap Hit = .693 m
Cap Remaining = 3.889 m
With the #120 overall pick in the 2012 NFL Draft...
The San Francisco 49ers trade up to select....
The 49ers have a 3rd round grade on Allen. He has experience on both tackle spots and his versatility to play multiple spots along the line gives him the edge over other options here. With our starting 5 lineman already in place, the Niners can be patient in developing Allen. OT depth was needed, and the sweet value wins out here.
Cap Hit = .527 m
Cap Remaining = 2.747 m[/quote] | Quote: | With the 126th overall pick in the 2012 NFL Draft...

-Team President: Made up job to make rudy happy.
-General Manager: Will make all of the final decisions and is in control of everything ranging from submitting trades to making draft picks. However, this position weighs equally amongst the staff in terms of opinion and everyone’s say should be accounted for before he determines the best route for the team. Each member will greatly influence his decisions.
-Assistant HC/GM: 2nd in line to the GM and assists the GM in all areas. He will explore trade options around the league and all trade offers are directed through him to then announce in the war room for discussion. If the GM is unavailable the Assistant GM is able to make draft picks and post UFA bids. Only the GM and Assistant GM have this ability. Becomes the active GM in the absence of the nominated GM.
-Head Coach: Has a key part in all decisions, but his focus is mainly on the team itself, rather than looking for trade options, etc… The draft board and player targets should be of importance to him as adding players he views as a fit for his system is critical.
Offensive Coordinator/Scout: This person runs the offense and therefore holds a lot of weight on all offensive acquisitions made by the team.
Defensive Coordinator/Scout: This person runs the defense and therefore holds a lot of weight on all defensive acquisitions made by the team.
Capologist/Team Agent: This person is in charge of maintaining and keeping tabs of the salary information of the team. At all times the team must maintain a budget in regards to the annual revenue the team brings in. The responsibility for correct figures will lie in his hands and he is the financial guru of the team. A 53 man roster must be maintained as well.
-Director of College Scouting: Helps decide needs and works with the national scouts to develop a big board for the draft.
-President of Player Personnel: Is responsible for developing a free agency target list. Projecting trades with other teams and reviewing players on all levels both college and pro.
-Director of Media Relations: Will report to the writers with feedback and information relative to the news of what is happening with the organization.
-National Scout: Will evaluate draftable players. This can be position specific or not. RB scout will look into RB’s, LB scout will look into potential LB’s to add to the team. |

Is there a certain position you would prefer? I still need a person or two to help with potential free agents, not just the draft. _________________

The main players I would like to retain on defense are in this order.
1. Goldson- Imo he is the best option to franchise tag if we cannot get a deal in.
2. Rogers- Was our best corner this year, but if some other team starts a bidding war I would not mind seeing him walk.
3. Brooks- Does a lot of little things well and a solid starter.
4. Grant- Great back up that can come cheap. _________________
