Moss does not, nor did he ever, have a 51" vert. _________________

IDK about biggest vertical for an NFL player ever, but Megatron and Eric Berry both hit 43'' at the combine. I'd say they have the biggest ups in the league right now. _________________

That is absolutely unbelievable and he's the clear winner of this competition. 6'1" and his head is above a 10' rim in that video... in high tops... That's proof of a 48" vertical in that video. Obviously he gets about three steps to start but he's also wearing high tops opposed to the extremely light shoes that guys wear at the combine. _________________

Its been widely reported that Wake jumped 45.5 inches at the combine which would honestl ybe the most impressive feat I've seen in the NFL. _________________

Regardless, I don't think anyone can get higher than Moss could have now, or ever will. Just look at his straight frame in the air on that picture. He could have finished a sandwich before he came down. _________________

| Quote: | V. Green from Nevada had the best result at the 2011 NFL Combine, with a 42.5 inch (108 cm) vertical jump.
New York Jets rookie Darrelle Revis has a 38-inch vertical jump this year (NY Times, Oct 2007).
Randy Moss has a vertical leap score of 51" (130 cm), while 265 lbs Jevon Kearse has a best jump of 40" (102 cm).
The best vertical jump at the NFL Combine is 46" by Gerald Sensabaugh (FS), from North Carolina in 2005 (more NFL combine results). |
