Moss does not, nor did he ever, have a 51" vert.

Moss claims his vertical leap to 55' inches in this article from 1999:

Quote:
Asked what his vertical leap was, Moss said, ``Just put 55 inches.

Multiple articles reference Moss's 39 inch vertical from 1995; Bobby Bowden was the source; it was when Moss was with FSU.

IDK about biggest vertical for an NFL player ever, but Megatron and Eric Berry both hit 43'' at the combine. I'd say they have the biggest ups in the league right now.

Not bad for a guy that's 6'1.

Measured at combine with 41.0" vertical.

That is absolutely unbelievable and he's the clear winner of this competition. 6'1" and his head is above a 10' rim in that video... in high tops... That's proof of a 48" vertical in that video. Obviously he gets about three steps to start but he's also wearing high tops opposed to the extremely light shoes that guys wear at the combine.

Its been widely reported that Wake jumped 45.5 inches at the combine which would honestl ybe the most impressive feat I've seen in the NFL.

Regardless, I don't think anyone can get higher than Moss could have now, or ever will. Just look at his straight frame in the air on that picture. He could have finished a sandwich before he came down.
