I like Elimimian's chances of making the final 53. He, just like Cole, just seem to have a knack for being around the ball. MN needs those kind of players competing at MLB since Brinkley is pretty much a thumper and nothing more.

Back on the field was linebacker Solomon Elimimian (hamstring), who returned after missing two days of practice.

Hopefully Elimimian can play on Friday. If he cant, he probably killed his shot of making the team. Elimimian has a lot a of competition for the final few LB spots between Cole, McKenzie, and Dean.

Any updates on how he played last night and if he's expected to make the team?

I think VD pays more attention to the CFL than I do Embarassed

With how weak our depth at Linebacker is, Eliminiam has a real shot to make it.

If we keep 6:

Erin Henderson-Starter
Jasper Brinkley- Starter
Chad Greenway- Starter
Marvin Mitchell- Backup (but starter if Erin were to move inside)
Audie Cole- Backup
Solomon Eliminiam- Backup

^ My guess is that the final LB spot will go to Larry Dean since he is the teams best special teams player. I think Elimimian is a player who could be a good practice squad candidate. Elimimian made some plays his first game, but the injury has really set him back where Cole has leap frogged him for the 5th LB spot. Given Elimimian's health concerns, he could either be placed on the PUP list for future use, or put on the practice squad, I dont see why he wouldnt clear wavers.

that injury really messed things up for Elimimian. I like his potential. Hopefully he can come back on the practice squad and continue to develop with the team. Elimimian has potential in this league.

That's what I thought. Shame he got hurt though which seemed to really set him back. Hopefully he can make an impact next year. Hopefully Manny makes the team though

Manny has a decent shot. Nobody is really standing out after Harvin, Simpson and Jenkins at WR.

Sucks, but UDFA's don't make the team if they don't play in the pre-season. Should be a spot on the PS for him, he did have that pick when he played.

After failing to make an NFL roster, Elimimian returned to the BC Lions part way through the 2012 CFL season. He only played in 6 CFL games that season, tallying only 12 tackles. Elimimian resigned with the Lions hours after the opening of free agency on February 15 2013. Elimimian earned Defensive player of the Week honors for Week 6 after registering a forced fumble and an interception in the Lions win over the Blue Bombers on August 5 2013.

here's the next CFL linebacker trying to make it in the NFL:

WINNIPEG -- The Winnipeg Blue Bombers have released non-import linebacker Henoc Muamba so he can pursue NFL opportunities. In three CFL seasons, Muamba has collected 171 tackles, four sacks, one interception and one touchdown.

“Henoc is a great player, and an even better person. The Winnipeg Blue Bombers wish him the best in his pursuit of employment in the National Football League, and sincerely thank him for his contributions, both on and off the field, with our organization,” said General Manager Kyle Walters.

Selected first overall in the 2011 CFL Draft, Muamba has quickly established himself as one of the league's most elite defensive players. Last season saw the St. Francis Xavier native register career highs in tackles with 106, and collect his first career interception.
