So apparently, Tennesse has a legit shot at stealing Rich Bisaccia from us according to a couple of people. I'm not sure why he'd make a lateral move to the college ranks. Any word on this?

Job stability? Norv is in what's perceived organization-wide here to be a make-or-break season.
A college coaching position gives him a viable 3 years of employment. Plus, Bisaccia's always been a guy that seems to really relish working with and developing the young guys - the collegiate ranks could be right up his alley and Tennessee's likely to be a high profile program over the next couple seasons so he could be in line to be recognized for promotion (ones he's apparently been passed over for at the pro level several times) opportunities.
He righted the ship, and it would suck to lose him, but now with the right mindset and gameplan for S/T in place, I honestly wouldn't feel awful about bumping Eric Parker up in position, or else just go out and hire former S/T wunderkin Bobby April (remember his units in Buffalo?) who's sitting as a DB's coach/assistant on Philadelphia's staff - or Dave Toub who is getting HC consideration but his contract in Chicago is up and a new GM in Chicago likely points to a new HC as well. _________________

The same... though in fairness he did show up on S/T's, just not as a returner. He's been on our staff as an assistant for at least the last season if not a year longer or so (I know he started in capacity with us in the 2010 season as part of the Bill Walsh Minority Coaching Fellowship Program).
Obviously I'd prefer Bobby April, but I wouldn't feel left out naked on a branch if Parker was given a boost in duties. Honestly though the job probably goes to another former-Charger, Carlos Polk, who was working as Bisaccia's assistant this past season (whereas Parker was working as an assistant to Joiner). _________________
