With Abe's new contract (3 years 16 million) a lot assumed he would look to cash out with his potentially last contract. Yahoo posted an article describing his reasons behind resigning with Atlanta.

It also goes on to list that another unnamed team offered him more money. It's an interesting look into his life. He currently is raising 3 nephews and his daughter.

The whole article is a good read.
I can relate to Abe in his reasoning for giving the children a positive role model. I didn't grow up with a father but my mother being a strong individual helped tremendously. Kudos to Abe for being a great person and hopefully he will retire a Falcon. Just another case of the Falcons having wonderful people in their organization.
