Underwood is one of Mac's value type players. He was drafted in the 6th round by Green Bay out of Cincy. He spent his forst two years in college with Ohio State so there is some talent there. He was released from Green Bay at the end of the year last season.

He is actually a safety so he is not Routt's replacement. So he is gonna get a shot here so we will see what happens. He is a good size dude at 6-1 and 190 lbs. So we should look for a battle between he and Curtis Taylor becasue is seems like Mac is bringing in the same type of big physical safety in the middle.

Interesting. Confused

I guess Mac has already done his homework on the guy. But damn. Embarassed

Quote:
Underwood's tenure with the Packers was marred by a pair of off-field arrests, one for having non-marital sexual intercourse in an act of prostitution during an incident at a charity golf event in June of 2010. Underwood was fined $379 for that incident and the record will be expunged within a year.

Last year, Underwood was charged with domestic disorderly conduct after allegedly ripping a necklace of his estranged wife's neck after the Packers' Super Bowl ring ceremony. Underwood was fined a little over $700 for that incident.

These are "street" free agants. Meaning they were already cut and without teams. The other free agents are guys whose contracts expire once the NFL year ends.

And reading a little further I guess Underwood was actually a CB with Green Bay and not a safety as I read earlier. At 6-1, 191 that is great size out there. Now lets hope he can play. because with Chris Johnson probably gone, we only have Checkwa, DVD and Underwood at the position.

I know more will be added. So we will have to wait and see how this shakes out.

2 things:

1. Let's not call McKenzie 'Mac'. That was the name Bronco fans gave McDaniels and hearing the name 'Mac' as a part of our front office makes my stomach turn.

2. Let's not over react to a nobody signing as a replacement to anybody. Simply a familiar camp body.

Some of you are acting like McK is mining gold with these fodder signings meant to fill up camp.
