What is is our favor is that Zim is pass 50 and never been a HC, most teams are looking at younger people or people who have HC experience. Since both the Bucs and Colts just fired coachs without HC experiences I'm thinking that Zimmer stays. It would be nice is Mike Brown gave Zims a raise and new contract like Chicago did in keeping their coaches but then again Brown family only made 50-60 mil this year. Rolling Eyes

He probably will. He gave Gruden a 3 year extension and doubled his pay after he announced he was staying, according the Bleacher Report... I would imagine something similar for Zim if he stayed.

Now, now. Be nice. Mikey already made Zimmer a top 5 salary coordinator two years ago.

I dont think Zimmer's age or the fact that he doesnt have HC experience lessens his value in league eyes when it comes to him being evaluated as a potential HC. As far as the Bucs go, they want a HC with experience that is a disciplinarian that can also work well with the players, not just spout off at them when they pull crap. That describes Zimmer perfectly. Experience doesnt necessarily mean previous HC experience. It just means the guy has been around long enough to know how to run things and how it all works. 17 years in the league is a good bit of experience in my opinion and the fact that 12? of those years Zimmer fielded top defenses as a DC only speaks volumes. I think Zimmer is very much on the Bucs radar and I honestly think he will be one of the finalists when it comes down to choosing a new HC for our team. The guy fits the bill perfectly and the fact the he has the connections to bring in a crack staff with him only helps.

'profootballtalk.com' is reporting that the Dolphins are intersted in Bengals secondary coach Kevin Coyle as their next DC.

Maybe he got a good reference from Zim.

Hopefully Mike Brown won't grant permission like he did with the Eagles last year. I think if Zim leaves Coyle will be the new DC, so to let Coyle go while we don't known if Zim is staying would be unwise.

Looks like we are going to hire Chip Kelly for our next HC so its lookin more and more like Zimmer will stay with Cincy. Congrats guys. He's a dynamic DC no doubt.

Looks like Zimmer is staying, Colts and Bucs hired new HC's today, and I don't think he's on Oaklands list.

I thought Oakland already got their guy?

Anywho, they weren't interested in him anyways.

So Zimmer stays for sure, probably more fired up than ever at being passed over. And now we're on Kevin Coyle watch.

Nope; the Buccs hired Greg Schiano.

Good news; looks like Zim's the DC here next year. Hopefully, these rejections of Zimmer will crank him up even more next year......

Rumors are Mike Zimmer rubbed the Dolphins the wrong way with his bluntness in telling them how terribly run the organization has been. If that is the case, he doesn't stand a chance if he interviews in Cincinnati... Laughing

Hell; he's a Defensive co-ordinator in the NFL organising a team of world class athletes.

Do they want a good head coach or a kindergarten teacher ?
