Not that I don't think you have a pretty good shot in this game. But, any ravens' fan who clicked that link would have seen that it was written by Mike Preston and just clicked the back button on their browser. Preston constantly writes garbage that tries to be controversial, and it's all really dumb.
Here's an article about he wrote about replacing Flacco with Bulger this offseason:
http://articles.baltimoresun.com/2011-01-17/sports/bs-sp-preston-column-0118-20110117_1_ravens-offensive-line-yanda-and-oher-steve-bisciotti
Pretty sure he said to give Troy Smith a shot over Flacco. You can pretty much assume everything in that article is wrong. _________________

This will be our toughest game to date. We played the Ravens tight for three quarters early in the season, but that was with a healthy Matt Schaub. This time we have Andre available but only TJ Yates under center.
This is a game that we can win. But we will need to be firing on all cylinders for 60 minutes. _________________

Seeing that this will be the defacto GDT...I'll say this: It was fun while it lasted. We were able to take two monkeys off of our backs, getting to the playoffs and winning in the playoffs. Now, the clock strikes 12 on our Cinderella story.

I would put JJo on Boldin, McCain on T. Smith and let Jackson/Allen handle Evans....sorry but IMO McCain is our best cover corner. Sad that he is so short, the guy has amazing feet, great speed and recovery speed, not to mention solid hands and great hips. He is a great cover guy, just too small _________________

There's no need to sweat who's going to cover our number 3 wide receiver, since that position doesn't exist in our offense. This year, receivers other than Boldin and Torrey Smith have combined to catch a total of 8 passes . That's with Torrey Smith not being involved in the offense in the first 2 weeks and Boldin missing the last 2 games.
The bigger question is: Who's going to cover the best TE duo that no one knows about? Especially when your best coverage linebacker needs to focus on Ray Rice. _________________

I think we lose too, but if we by chance win, I am starting to think you really are psychic. _________________

As much as I hated giving up the bye week, when you actually WIN on Wild Card weekend it does amazing things for your momentum vs a team that sat around patting themselves on the tush this week (and don't even have to worry about going through the overrated Steelers anymore). The Ravens are a veteran team on a mission this year and nobody is going to underestimate them, but as a defense we are set up to contain them just fine. Let's not forget that Andre was out for this game, as was Casey, and we clearly still had a hangover from the Raiders loss in our only 2 weeks of feeling sorry for ourselves with all the injuries. Kubiak did his best Cam Cameron imitation in abandoning the run wayy too soon in that game while Schaub was off all day, while the Ravens stuck with their run game and were rewarded for it in the 2nd half. Kareem was absolutely abused in that game and I think we saw this week, that he isn't going to see the field very much in pressure situations.
I also don't think the Ravens trying to force a TD run by Vonta Leach on us in the 1st quarter vs us got nearly enough press here as a complete thumb in our nose (for a player we didn't miss a bit this year despite the hype). Clearly Antonio Smith had a problem with it as he got two straight personal fouls in losing his head, but all of the Texans need to play with a chip on their shoulders this week. Sure, the Ravens have beaten us two straight, but we were absolutely in a position to win the past two in the 4th quarter despite getting gashed by a QB and WR who play over their heads against us. If Ed Reed couldn't hang with Jacoby Jones last time, let's make sure fellow hall of famer AJ tests him a few times like back at the U. A healthy dose of OD, Dreessen, and Casey in the middle vs. slow Ray Ray ought to yield some benefit as well. Finally, it is inexcusable not to burn "Bern-ie" Pollard a few times down the seam after watching that all year in 2010. Kubiak needs to get his head in the backfield then send TE's past him to pay dirt.
The Texans are getting no respect in this one as usual largely because TJ Yates is taking the snaps, but if Matt Hasselbeck, Blaine Gabbert, and Tavaris Jackson can all be winning QBs vs them, why not TJ and a run game and defense better than Tenn, Jax, or Seattle?
A victory on Sunday which would be the Ravens 3rd loss to an AFC South team his year plus the Steelers flop and our second victory over the Bengals may finally get those AFC Norris folks to zip their trap about how great their division is (even with the officials doing their best to prop up the Steelers yet again this week just like when we pounded them despite the extra help they always get with the real Rooney Rule). _________________

Actually Apollo, JJo was on Boldin who had 132 yards that game, Jackson gave up 1 52 yard catch, but thats the game the safety bit on the PA and left Jackson back with no help, when KJ assumed their would be......bottom line though, the secondary as a whole needs to play better than last game. Shut down Rice early and get a good jump on the score and we could pull away. Tough game for sure, but seriously think we're under rated.....we will see what happens though _________________

Careful. If you keep talking like this you'll be seen as a delusional Texans fan with Battle Red glasses on defending Jackson. Every mistake in the secondary is on Jackson. JJo had a bad game because you kept looking over his shoulder to make sure KJax wasn't screwing up.
This is how I'd do the coverage
JJo on Boldin
Cush on Rice within 10 yards and if further pass off to what ever safety is free
Quin on Dickson
Manning in a roving cover 1 paying close attention to KJax/Allen on Smith
McCain on Evans
If they go two TE instead of 3 WR then have a Cover 2 with the linebackers in zone and CBs in man
When Leach is in the backfield just keep an eye on him, but don't worry about him too much. _________________

Saw the highlights from the game in the regular season. We really need to limit the big play. Boldin isn't really known as a "deep threat" but we gave up a big play to him. Torrey Smith is a "deep threat" receiver and we gave up one to him. I actually agree with AA when he says McCain should be on Smith in the game. It might not be such a bad idea after all. If kareem struggles early on Smith, then I think Kubiak/Phillips should make the switch.
On offense, we really need to hold on unto the ball. Schaub (even though he isnt playing) fumbled, and Tate also fumbled even though Wade Smith recovered in the endzone. Good thing we recovered both of them. We cannot shoot ourselves in the foot like that.
Also, we need to have more than 2 sacks IMO. Our big pass rush guys (barwin, reed, smith, and watt) didn't record a single sack. We only had 2 and that was from a backup (Tim Jamison) We did good in the TFL category though. _________________
