Funniest pic I've seen in a while! I'd still like to cut him in favor of a position player if all he is going to be is inactive behind Griffin and Cousins.
I mean, it's not like if we cut him, he's getting picked up by someone else. He'd be there for us in the future if we needed him for any reason. _________________

Just wanted to update you all on my nephew John.
They held a Pro Day at his college and the list of scouts there were:
*MLB Scouting Bureau
*Los Angeles Dodgers
*Washington Nationals
*Cincinnati Reds
*Tampa Bay Devil Rays
*San Francisco Giants
*Atlanta Braves
*Seattle Mariners
*Texas Rangers
It gets better...
Just heard from my nephew...as well as fellow Tusculum College pitcher Zeke McGranahan's mother Cristy. Here's what I have:
*John-Austin (my nephew) threw the hardest of any pitcher there.
*Both John-Austin and Zeke received letters from the Texas Rangers and Washington Nationals. John-Austin also received a letter from the Tampa Bay Rays.
*Other teams also said they will be mailing letters.
Usually I just wait for the draft results for MLB but something tells me the next draft I will be watching with rapt attention/
P.S. - I'll get my brother to tell me what is in the letters and share as much as I can later. _________________

Someone gave me this cake to slice tonight:
Sliced it with a 2 day old knife I got from Korin. Great party by the way, probably one of the more wonderful Private Dining Room Parties I have had since I started working in New York. Thought you guys would like this. By the way, the top layers of the cake were red velvet, and the bottom layers were gold rum cake. Whoever made it did a great job. I sliced hundreds of dollars of charcuterie, this was probably this most nervewrecking thing I sliced in the last 3 months. Cutting an expensive sphere can really make you overthink things!!!! _________________

Rip Lamont

| Quote: | Frederick police have identified a man shot and killed downtown this morning as Lamont George-Lee Ellis, 36, of the 3700 block of Hope Commons Circle, which is in Urbana.
Police said Ellis was shot several times in the upper torso. Several motives are being investigated.
“We’re still trying to piece that together,” Lt. Clark Pennington said. “We know where he was prior to the altercation. ... We are looking at possible motives."
Police were called to the area of West All Saints Street and Mullenix Alley at 1:53 a.m. Sunday for a report of shots fired.
Note: This story has been edited from previous versions. Police believe the man was heading back to his vehicle when he was accosted and shot. |

Gentleman's bet for both of you then? No sigs or nothing, just bragging rights.
Classify it as this:
1 point per reception
1 point per 10 yards receiving
1 point per 10 yards rushing (if applicable)
1 point per 25 yards passing (if applicable)
6 points per receiving touchdown
6 points per rushing touchdown (if applicable)
4 points per passing touchdown (if applicable)
-2 points per fumble lost
-2 points per interception (if applicable)
Amendola v. LaFell: Who has the better fantasy season? No outs for injuries (sucks, but it is the question of the better pickup). |
At the quarter post:
Brandon LaFell:
10 catches: 10 points
182 yards: 18.2 points
1 receiving TD: 6 points
25 rushing yards: 2.5 points
TOTAL: 36.7
Danny Amendola:
31 catches: 31 points
351 yards: 35.1 points
2 receiving TD: 12 points
8 rushing yards: 0.8 points
1 fumble: -2 points
TOTAL: 76.9 |
