I just received news that Muhsin Muhammad reached a contract agreement with the Chicago Bears. Thank God he didnt sign with the Eagles. What does this mean to the draft? Will the Bears pass up a WR now that they have Muhammad? Big News for Da Bears. _________________ Team Romo, Beware of DWare, *SuperStar*DEZ |

| I see that he has been cut by Carolina. But I'm not finding any news of a signing yet. I'll take anyone to improve the WR. Hope you're right, son. |

Won't be official until he passes a physical. I can't believe that actually happened. _________________ I've only got two speeds. And if you don't like this one, you sure aren't going to like the other one. |

| I actually think that this doesnt change much for the Bears, It gives us a veteran, playoff experienced WR to mentor Williams and Berrian. We still need to address the OL in FA or later in the draft. If Williams runs in the 4.4 range that he says he will at his pro day he is just to good to pass up. We could trade down and get Barron but in 3-4 years we will still be looking for a great receiver, just dont think we can pass on Williams. But what do I know |

Time to toss this out there - This FA signing gives Jerry Angelo the opportunity to come across as a damned genius on this signing of Muhammad.
Reasoning: Bears options with the #4 pick just became fantastic:
1. If Mike Williams is on the board at #4, grab him. We are then so set at WR for a long, long time.
2. If Mike Williams is on the board at #4, both the Vikes & the Skins need a #1 WR (big time need in both cases). Here's the deal for the Vikes:
Bears give up the #4 pick in exchange for both Vikes #1 picks this year (straight up, no other picks), or this year's recently acquired Oakland #1 pick & next year's Vikes #1 pick (no other picks). The draft chart numbers aren't even at all, but hey, you want Mike Williams at #4, pay the price.
3. Here's the deal for the Skins:
Bears give up the #4 pick in exchange for this year's Skins #1 pick & next year's Skins #1 pick (no other picks). Again, the draft chart numbers aren't even at all, but hey, you want Mike Williams at #4, pay the price.
If that's the way this draft game plays out for the Bears this year, Jerry Angelo could be a genius. _________________ Most People Prefer Tactics, I Prefer Logistics. |

darbears - you're right. We're halfway to the WRs we need. Gage/Wade/Berrian look like nice 3/4/5 receivers. Pick Williams or rob anyone wanting to move up, like Play2 said.
Look at Detroit with Rogers/Williams/Streets - that's a receiving corps. Bears should do the same and get a real hardass group of receivers.
#4 WR Mike Williams
2 Rd - OT Barnes/RB Gore, Fiason, etc/TE ?
Remaining picks: SS, OLB, OG, in no order... |

| News from the combine is that Ronnie Brown ran a 4.32 40 at 232 lbs. How does that sound for the #4 pick?!?! |
