This could be seen as a replacement for Gary Guyton who is visiting Mia today.

So we're signing Bill Parcells' rotten groceries now? Confused

Can't imagine he'll make it to the final 53.

I guess the Pats were short on bad LBs when they decided Guyton wasn't coming back.

If this was 2006, everyone would have been so happy.

Understandable signing. Over the last two or three years Belichick has kicked the tires on former 1st round picks like a boss.

Shawn Springs, Fernando Bryant, Deltha O'Neal, Joey Galloway, Fred Taylor, Gerard Warren, Damion Lewis, Torry Holt, Albert Haynesworth, Andre Carter, Shaun Ellis, Robert Gallery, Will Allen, and now Bobby Carpenter. Missed anyone?

Laughing

umm...he's really not so bad as to be worth those reactions guys. played for us the last 2 years and, for a backup, he wasn't a big liability when he was pressed into action. i thought he did an admirable job filling in, even starting our big 24 point comeback against the Cowboys with a pick-6

don't be so down on the guy. he's good enough that i'm sad to see him go

I see no problem with the signing, as has been pointed out, Bill seems to like taking chances with former 1st round picks. If he sucks, he doesn't make it out of camp, if he's good enough, he'll be depth.
