I'd prefer to see Darrell Bevell hired as HC. Former OC for the Vkings from 2006-10, runs some very vanilla offenses.
EDIT: Apparently used to be the Packers QB coach before Tom Clements. _________________

Thought that was pretty common knowledge.
He was Favre's pocket coach. As in, I'm going to Minnesota b/c I will have the OC in my pocket. _________________

I'm really curious as to why the Trestman hire is getting such rave reviews. He hasn't coached in the NFL for what 8 years now? He's also brining his OC from the CFL and a few other coaches. This just seems like a huge risk to me as there were and are numerous high profile guys available.
Everyone is so happy to get an offensive mind in there but it brings two things to my attention:
If you focus all of your new energy on an offensive staff and let a very good defensive staff go, it only makes sense to question how far they will drop off on defense. Everyone is giddy(again) about pairing so and so with Cutler, yet no one is mentioning the talent they are missing on defense now.
Cutler is over 30 years old now isn't he? Trestman mentioned something about completely breaking him down and recoaching him...isn't it a little late for that? Every year I have to read about Cutler getting a new coach and he's going to become an elite QB. It hasn't happened yet, but this time I'm supposed to believe that yet another change in the offensive scheme is going to work? Give me a break.
I'm fully aware this might work out great, but I'm surprised there's so few people thinking this is a big risk. |

Pretty much epitomizes the Lions, while conversely Randall Cobb epitomizes ours. Weird how things like that work. _________________

I feel kind of sorry for Titus. Either he has emotional issues or has no one in his camp willing to tell him what he needs to hear. Seems to be some what of an insitutional thing if you look at Suhs behavior as well, he's still talking in the media about how he's never done anything wrong. Something is missing either from the front office or the locker room, no one really seems to fear any consequences.
I initially hated the guy, now he's so delusional its almost...cute. |

It's sad. I remember palmy saying that he was going to turn off a lot of people in interviews, but I had no idea he'd be this bad. _________________

Totally buy that CWood. I knew he had some character issues coming out of college, but this is just strange. It's not like he's out getting arrested all the time, it's almost as if he's purposely trying to sabotage himself.
I wouldn't be surprised to hear he has something like what Brandon Marshall was/is dealing with. He doesn't seem particularly malicious, more like some crazy homeless guy that got a hold of someones twitter account. For the sake of his kid/family I hope he can get some help. |

ew...
I kinda feel sorry for Titus Young. The Ford Family really needs to get that situation cleaned up immediately.
