i thought about that when writing the suggestion, but i think Thomas still can develop into our #2(crazy thought, i know) w/ less reps on ST and better coaching and play calling from a new OC and WR coach. also i think with a new team, Royal can renew himself as the solid slot he started out as (rookie yr 91rec-908yds-5tds) before being moved down the depth chart and loosing reps to a power run offense this yr. _________________

He lost reps because he demanded a trade because of Tebow when he basically had no legs to stand on.
We have enough secondary options that can be slot guys in... well, basically all the WRs we have. If he were brought in to do returning then that'd make some sense, but I doubt it happens. What this team is is someone who can be the #1 either now or down the road. _________________

We do unless Mike has to be the primary receiver on offense. But ideally, Mike only plays offense. Royal could be a good signing for cheap who would be the 4th or 5th receiver and return specialist. _________________

| Anyone else like it better when free agency was after the draft? The whole idea is to "build through draft, patch through free agency". It seems like patching is easier when you know for sure what your remaining needs are. |

Yeah, it did seem better that way, but we probably won't see it again. _________________

I remember rumors around the start of the season that they were thinking about re-configuring and condensing the offseason. That may mean they could entertain switching the two. It seemed to help teams be more BAP in the draft and more responsible in free agency when they were reversed. _________________

Id say thomas is better than royal as thomas can be a good number 2. _________________
