IF we land Tressel, I really think we would be in the top of the MAC soon.
Even with the allegations, you know players are gonna want to play for him. National Champion, from a big time program, protects his players, etc.
Recruiting would go up, fan attendance will go up, and most importantly, wins will go up.

Started coaching there, has only coached in Ohio, and was there tuesday.
But it doesn't sound like he's interested.

Are you surprised he said No?
I am surprised he met with them honestly.
I think he should be looking for an AD gig over a HC gig.
But I have no idea if he will be seen as eligible because of this scandal he was just a part of....might turn some universities off to the idea.

And not at all, I kind of lol'd at the whole thing. IF he wanted to coach, Akron would be ideal though. Nice facilities, would not care about penalties because they're so bad, need to fill stands, etc.

Either / OR
in both cases he has been AWFUL.
when Tress took the colts job, I looked at it as a way for him to get into the NFL & be at least a coordinator within a year. But with the way the Colts have played, It wouldn't surprise me if he was at least interviewed as a candidate for the HC job once Caldwell is terminated.

That still didn't answer the question. That statement provided absolutely no proof or indication that he would be interested in the job.

And Tressel would be any better with his archaic and anemic offense? NFL defenses would eat the Colts alive if he ran that garbage. The Colts' defense would probably improve, but they'd be no better than a 4-5 win team if Tressel implemented his offense.
