New thread boys. Lets get that B1G Title back to Madtown!
We only moved up to 15th in the BCS. With the beatdown, somehow Penn State only dropped 2 spots. So either, we're pretty damn good or we're not that great. Man the BCS is straight confusion. _________________

Any ideas on how our 2012 depth chart looks, by the way? I'm wondering if next year's team might be better than we think since there are so many defensive players coming back. _________________

QB battle should be really interesting. i kind of just wanna throw houston in there right away, but i know that's probably not gonna happen. _________________

Gotta believe that our secondary is going to be shuffled around a bit. I expect a lot more of Penial Jean, Darius Hillary and Devin Gaulden. If we get Cox, he could potentially step in immediately at safety.
On the D-Line, you can expect a lot of David Gilbert. He's our pass rush specialist but missed a lot of the year with an injury. Jesse Hayes and James Adeyanju will see more time in pass rush situations as well.
Ethan Armstrong and Jake Keefer will likely battle for the vacant outside linebacker spot but, remember this name, Cameron Ontko could be a darkhorse as he's been tearing up the scout team. AJ Fenton could be part of a rotation as well. Don't know about Vince Biegel's chances as a true freshman though.
QB could be Curt Phillips if he ever gets healthy. I'd expect Bart Houston to step in from day one though. Joe Brennan and Jon Budmayr will be the "official" 1-2 punch at QB in spring but it will be incredibly wide open.
Wide Receiver is wide open outside of White Boy Walk-On (Jared Abbrederis for you slow folks). It just depends on who steps up. I'd expect AJ Jordan to make big strides after his red shirt this year.
We won't miss a beat at RB, OL or TE obviously.
If the QB situation works out, next year could be a very complete team. _________________

QB battle should be really interesting. i kind of just wanna throw houston in there right away, but i know that's probably not gonna happen. | This is a complete guess on my part but:
Offense:
QB: Curt Phillips
RB: James White, Fred Lewis, Melvin Gordon
FB: No idea
WR: Jared Abbredaris, Jeff Duckworth, A.J. Jordan
TE: Jacob Pederson, Austin Traylor, Brian Wozniak
LT: Ricky Wagner
LG: Travis Fredrick
C: Peter Konz
RG: Ryan Groy
RT: Rob Havenstein
The O-Line seems outstanding, the TEs equally as good, and the top 2 WRs seem solid. I think Phillips wins out, which leaves Houston open to redshirt and start in 2013. We are thin in the WR corps (there are a ton of FR, no idea who steps up), and while the HBs look good James White is a change of pace guy and we don't know how good Lewis or Gordon will be.
Obviosuly the QB battle is the most interesting part. Phillips seems like a good transition-year kind of guy to me, he's the senior, and he'll probably be a better game manager than Budamyer or Brennan.
Defense:
DE: Brian Kelly, David Gilbert
DT: Beau Allen, Ethan Hemer, Jordan Kohout
OLB: Ethan Armstrong, Mike Taylor
MLB: Chris Borland
CB: Marcus Cromartie, Penieal Jean
FS: Shelton Johnson
SS: Adam Hampton
I love the front 7, considering that 5 of the positions are basically coming back and Taylor/Borland are a great LB duo. The secondary is shaky. _________________

I dont want to give mine | I think Wisconsin wins, but I don't think it's a blowout.
I also think that I'm going to be skipping heartbeats during special teams plays. Yours are outstanding. Ours are legendarily bad.
EDIT: By the way, this is really important IMO

Welcome to the club! Im no longer the new guy
I can say confidently that theres no pressure for MSU in this one. Everyone and their mother is expecting them to lose, and many expect a blowout. Hopefully we come out loose and put ourselves in position for another hail mary victory (who would want it any other way?) _________________

I know I do. I want a 52-10 rear-end kickin'. I want to thoroughly destroy the heart and soul of anything and anyone (sorry bro) Sparty.
I want Montee Ball to break the TD record with 6 in the game. If they do what they should have done in EL, they'll win. When I say that, I mean Montee Ball 30+ times. _________________
